Terrible! Food was poor and I was casually invited to “have a few mushrooms” while waiting for main course. Not only were they tasteless and over salted, they turned out to be more expensive than the main course. I felt like I’d been robbed!

This glorious setting by the water under a cool canopy of trees is unbeatable on a hot summer day. Our family enjoyed a delicious feast of javali, porco and borrego, with enough to take home for another day. After an hour or so bathing in the river pool, this is a wonderful way to wind up a hot afternoon.

Discovered "by accident", on a trip to Marvão, a really lovely, beautiful spot close to the river Sever. Just imagine a tasty dinner, real one, of true typical local food, under a "roof of trees", on a wide balcony over the river, with Marvão Castle on the hill, all lightned.... with the background sound of the water flowing. Friendly staff and the owner, so friendly, that after a really nice chat I asked for receipt, we went away, and, suddenly, i noticed that I didn´t pay the bill !!! Came back and we had a good laugh ... The only missing issue; advertising ! This is one one the most beautiful spots I know...and I traveled a lot...
