Restaurante O Chaparrinho

I was fooled by the first comments I read. It's actually a modest place with no great pretensions, I consider the prices to be somewhat high, some olives are €2.5, a squid skewer for two which contains 5 squid and five prawns costs €42, the squid was soft but with a slightly strong seasoning too much. The jug of wine only costs €7, but it is also of poor quality. But even worse was the waiting time, when we arrived only 3 tables were occupied, one with 6 people and the other two with a couple each, I waited more than an hour for the food to arrive. I don't plan on returning.

A success. We arrived the first day we arrived in Peniche and without meaning to, we found this restaurant that shows that they put a lot of care into serving you well, serving and cooking wonderfully. fresh product
We had a fish sword with shrimp, which came with some vegetables and a warm salad. A luxury.
The white wine is very acceptable. And the great price.
The woman was kind to me and gave me a chain with a medal of the Virgin of Fátima.
The terrace is a haven of peace surrounded by aromatic plants, tomato plants and others.

I found this restaurant when was late and it should have closed. But the owners warmly welcomed me, treated to wine with delicious bread and olives, and prepared tasty grilled Dorado. I completely immersed myself in the home atmosphere and relaxed.
If you want to experience real Portuguese guests pleasuring, I recommend visiting Restaurante o Chaparrinho!

Excellent restaurant with wonderful kebabs, very well seasoned, perfectly cooked meat! I wanted to go back and try the rest of the dishes. It is worth highlighting the friendliness of the lovely D. Gecineide with whom we chatted after dinner, very good energy and friendliness. It was a good farewell dinner and I hope to return ?

We spent a wonderful evening here with my husband. The restaurant was open only for the two of us, because it was not yet the season, there was simply no rain. We had a wonderful conversation with the owner, and also ate simply incredibly delicious shish kebab. I definitely recommend visiting?
