First time at the restaurant on the recommendation of regular customers. I had very high expectations that easily fell. It takes a long time to bring the table, delays in ordering, a cold buffet with little quantity, and even a human hair in a dish ordered from the menu. It was not complained at the time so as not to upset people at the table. It is understandable that they were short on staff but this cannot influence the functioning and hygiene of the service! I will definitely not return because the prices do not justify the service provided.

A "safe value" experience that turned into a terrible result.After a series of reviews sharing experiences that were good or excellent in every way, behold, one of my "historic" restaurants manages to exceed in service everything that is negative attitude. We make a reservation, confirmed for the desired time. We arrived at the place and there was no table. The reason is surprising: other customers arrived, more regular ones, who couldn't wait... It would have been better not to have given an explanation. Given the late hour, changing restaurants without a reservation was not an option. We waited... To improve the already terrible atmosphere, a collaborator named Marta, decided to assign the table that was reserved for us to a group that arrived later, even though she was alerted by a colleague that that table would be ours... I had the foresight to have prevented the exchange in good time. Moral of the story: you can't please everyone, but in a space where customer service should be above all else, it would be good if they at least tried not to antagonize anyone. Furthermore, the table service was also terrible. The buffet dishes were piled up on the tables, the glasses were dirty and had to be replaced and only on request did anyone approach. I'm sorry for all the other excellent employees who were working there today and who somehow don't see themselves reflected in this comment. Experience not to be repeated.

Truly amazing restaurant and a great way to end our two week stay in Portugal, my home country! After looking at the website we were disappointed that the amazing looking buffet would not be available on the day we were there, but it was and it was delicious! Great service too, and especially Augusta was really friendly. The little chaple which you can access from the restaurant is a lovely touch.
Reasonable place to eat a chapel next door is part of the restaurant.

Stepping into the restaurant takes you back in a typical setting from the 1990s. The food was delicious with extreme generous portions. The portion of flavourson seafood rice I ordered (from a la carte) was without a doubt a portion for 3/4 people. I shared it with the others at my table and we even took the still abundant leftover with us. There was a buffet station if one wanted to choose the buffet menu option. The lady waitressing was very pleasant, we understood each other even though the language barrier. In our experience it was the place during our short visit to Porto and Lisbon were the food was the tastiest.
