First of all, they don’t accept card and it is fine, we didn’t know and they indicated us where to withdraw money from the nearest ATM. It is a really nice place, they are a couple from the aveiro. It is quite interesting the lettering and the outside menu are what catch my attention. We had calamari, octopus and rice. It was really nice, the first two coming with potatoes. I love when the legs of the calamari are roasted and crispy. The price is much better than the other places we visited, the area prices are around 18€, here is around 10€. In conclusion, it is the perfect place to have fresh fish from the area!!

The best place to eat in Aveiro. Traditional portuguese home cooked meals in a real tasca ambiance. Aldo traditional portugese prices and not the ridiculous turist prices that you pay in other places in Aveiro. The staf is amazing and kind. Aldo loads of glutenfree options.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

ordered 2 portions of Francesinia for lunch. It didn't taste good, unfortunately. And the place itself is very rundown...there is a lot of dust everywhere and the owner of the establishment himself does not care about hygiene, he cooks without gloves and also serves tables. We thought that if the establishment smells of old times, then it is tasty, but we were wrong.

(Translated by Google) Simply spectacular. We looked for it in Aveiro because of its good reviews regarding the food, and because of the high prices of the rest of the bars in the city. My partner and I ate alone, and it's a real shame that Aveiro locals and tourists miss out on the great food at this taverna. Simple as it could not be, both the place and the place itself, gives you a gastronomic experience surely unmatched in quality and price in the city. We ordered the grilled squid (€6.5), and we did not expect that they would serve us two whole squids that were delicious. The grilled cod (€7) is wonderful. And the francesinha (€5.5), the best we've tried on our trip to Porto. The total bill with 2 beers was €24. A ridiculous price. The experience was incredible, and I hope this couple does great because their cooking is spectacular. They won't have the best place, nor the best location, but their dishes are sure to be the best in Aveiro. Thank you for the treatment and for that good food.(Original)Sencillamente espectacular.

(Translated by Google) We went in through the menu hanging on the door as we thought they were typical dishes and a charming old-fashioned bar.Better we should have passed by, the covid measures no longer exist. The glasses and jugs give them a water in the faucet and on the shelf. The paper to disinfect the table is used to clean the plate that they put you if it has some dust.To take 3 dishes it takes us 2 clock hours. The food was all frozen, a tasteless seafood rice, with a lot of broth like a soup and with surimi. The cod stew with a small piece of cod and very watery.

Hidden behind the touristic riverfront, a couple serves homecooked food from a small kitchen. The octopus is tender, the eel soup is delicious, and the sabre noir fish is definitely a speciality. The potatoes, boiled, are also something unexpectedly tasty. A lovely, authentic atmosphere.

It's a cheap and simple place to eat!

(Translated by Google) In every sense; It's like eating at your grandparents' house.Traditional Portuguese restaurant run by two grandparents. Decor from the 60s, authentic, tasty, traditional food without great frills. Huge portions at prices well below the average of any restaurant in Porto or Aveiro (all dishes under €10). I tried the rice with prawns and calamari for €7.5. They give you a €4.9 cover made up of bread, butter, black olives and cheese as starters that you can reject if you want. The house wine (€2.5) is quite good. If you are a person who needs big presentations and modern decoration, this place is not for you.For the first time in four days of going to Portugal I can say that I have eaten well and at a good price.(Original)En todos los sentidos; es como comer en casa de tus abuelos.

The restaurant looks small and is not so easy to find. The kitchen is visible and the food is fresh.
