The restaurant has a fantastic location right on the canal with a beautiful view. The Pastéis de Nata are excellent and highly recommended. The freshly squeezed orange juice fits perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere. The food is also good, but simple. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff. Overall a good place that I can definitely recommend.

DO NOT EAT THERE!!! There were three of us, we ordered the special hot dogs: it's a questionably soft bun, a really special sausage, add to that a layer of cheese (which in my opinion serves to hide the taste of the rest) and slices of mortadella. We ended up putting aside the sausage to manage to eat this "meal". The defrosted fries were, however, perfectly fine, particularly thanks to the sauce (ketchup-mayo) placed on them. It should also be noted that the waiter only brought us one dish out of three... In his defense, he doesn't speak English very well. The toilets were clean. We understand better why the prices are attractive. Opt for a drink on the terrace in the sun only! ;)

Well, I didn't really eat here, just olives with bread (they were good), so my 5 stars are missing here, but in any case Café Central is a five ? location to chill out a bit (for the beer in Portugal you can't do anything), so I was able to enjoy a lot of sangrias here. Lots of young, nice people in service. So definitely take a break here.

Perfect place to take a break and do some people watching in Aveiro. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and tasty; we had a chicken burger & fries and a tuna toasty washed down with a couple of draught beers (Super Bock). The service was efficient and friendly and everything was clean and tidy including the toilets. We loved the atmosphere. Very chilled out with a feeling of mixing with the locals rather than super touristy. There was a choice of tables in the shade or the sun. This was good for us as we had our dog with us. We highly recommend this place, thanks to the team for a great experience.
