Charles is a location off the main streets, far from those so-called "big and well-known" cafes/restaurants, but close to all the attractions in Aveiro.
Quality products and meals and prices are much more affordable than the tourist cafes/restaurants found on the main streets.
The owners, a couple, welcomed us very well and were always very helpful.
I recommend it and I will definitely come back

Super cute local spot for lunch! We had soup (caldo verde) and my Portuguese friend said it's the best she's ever had! She had feijoada and I had Bacalhau á Brás - both dishes were super delicious. The cook is super sweet and was delighted when we told her we liked the food. We also paid 10€ each - seriously, no complaints. Good food no fuss.

Best Sandes de Leitão ever!!!! They went to get fresh bread from the nearby bakery to make it to order. Little place overlooked by tourists where locals drop by for a sandes, bica or a beer. Tripes de Aveiro made fresh. Sorry no pics, as we devoured the food right away….
