Very disappointing as it was poor value for money. I do not recommend.
I have never written a poor review, but this is it. One caveat, though - the server was pleasant.
We selected this restaurant as we were in need of a gluten-free menu as to one member of our group of four having a celiac-related condition. We ordered the prato do dia and the portions were tiny. My meal included six or seven small meatballs, a small salad, and two small potatoes. It looked like a meal you would receive on a plane. It did not include appetizers or dessert but did include coffee. The coffee was dark but completely clear and seemed to be American- style drip coffee. There was no crème whatsoever.
When the bill arrived, the server stated 20 euros per person, totalling 80 euros. It was not the server’s fault and we did not complain, but buyer beware with this one!
As for atmosphere, it was tiny and clean, but in a neighborhood mall and very difficult to locate on the second floor (no signage at street level).
Vegetarian options: Several options on the menu.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free menu for celiac conditions.

VERY EXPENSIVE AND VERY SHORT
We went because of the gluten-free food reviews. To begin with, the heat there is unbearable. They have two set menus but they make sure not to give you anything in writing.
To begin with he tells us that he only has water to drink, tap water (not even a bottle) one menu is salad (lettuce and a cherry tomato cut in half, rice without anything and a little tofu) the other menu spaghetti without nothing and a grilled chicken fillet. When we finish, he tells us that he has run out of desserts at 1:45 p.m. (a glass of chocolate and cake that he has offered to other tables). I ask him if a menu with dessert is the same as without dessert and he tells me yes, because DESSERT IS NOT INCLUDED. I have never felt so cheated. It is shameful. THEY CHARGED US €38 for four menus with tap water and no dessert. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL.

Gluten-free and/or vegan restaurant. With a closed menu with a single dish of the day. Without bread, without beer with or without gluten, with a Nespresso coffee machine that you find in any home. On the second floor of a half-closed shopping center.
Of course, it is economical, thanks to the simplicity of the dishes, but expensive since they have nothing to highlight, they are simply suitable for consumption.
A place to get out of trouble and a last resort

Wonderful place, their entire menu is gluten free and they serve breakfast and lunch, with sweet and savory options. I tried one of their sandwiches with avocado and mushrooms and then I treated myself to a delicious cookie brownie.
It is a little hidden, in the second floor photo of the shopping center, in the video you will see how to get there.

Gluten free never tasted so good! While in Aveiro this quickly became my favourite place to eat in all of Portugal. Each day a new meal (and soup) is offered and is jam packed with flavour and high quality ingredients. Each mouthful was extremely rewarding. The food was so delicious that I looked forward to returning each day during the week. If you suffer from celiac, or just enjoy clean eating… Comphy is by far your best friend. Often times I found myself finishing my meal and then ordering takeout to reheat and enjoy later. You won’t worry about cross contamination as absolutely no gluten is found inside the restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. Tables and the interior of the restaurant was always very clean to the highest standards. They also offer a new vegan dish each day. They take pride in everything they do, from food to atmosphere, you will not be disappointed! Staff speaks English and Portuguese.I ended each meal with dessert and coffee. Can’t wait to return on my next trip to Portugal.

We finally found a 100% gluten free place in Portugal. We ordered the mid-day menu, one salmon with puree and vegetables and another chicken with vegetables. There were also vegetarian and vegan options. Excellent service, everyone very friendly. Tip: to get there, you have to enter the gallery and go up the stairs since it is located on the top floor of the “shopping center.”
Dietary restrictions: The entire restaurant is gluten-free, there are also vegetarian and vegan options

I returned to this restaurant everyday while visiting Averio, They’re dedicated gluten free but also offer amazing food, service and atmosphere. They make a different meal each day and I tried 8, every single one was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. What really stood out to me was the clear passion and attention to detail the staff have for their craft. From the freshly cooked meals, deserts and the coffee every aspect of the meal was made with exceptional care. If you’re ever in Averio or Portugal in general Comphy Gluten free is a must stop for anyone looking for the perfect lunch spot.

We purposely went to Aveiro to try this space that offers gluten-free options, but the opening times shown on Google are not correct and the place was closed. Even at the establishment, the sign says weekly rest only on Sunday, which was not the case, as it was closed at lunchtime on Saturday.
Cozy place, healthy food (has a vegan option), pleasant service, I really liked it!
