Absolute perfection. Sushi served with an amazing traditional taste. Perfect execution. Quote. Other places would charge triple for this quality. This place is a must if you are around Aveiro… small, quiet and easy listening music classics. I was lucky enough to be the only person in the restaurant because of the early hours. I’ll come back for sure!! True hidden jewel.

The food is excellent, the service is quick and attentive. The space, although small, is cozy. I went to Izakaya Matsuri a few times, both for lunch and dinner, and the positive points I mentioned above remained even on days when the restaurant was full.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered their bento Izakaya with coke. I was excited to dine here, but left feeling disappointed. Bento Izakaya was priced at €14.50 - and it comes with miso soup + a bowl of rice with 2 skewers of meat. The meat was a bit and can use more seasoning.If you order Ala carte, 2 skewers of meat is €5.50 and miso soup is €3.80. The total is €9.30 - and the rice is not a lot. Unless they serve magical rice that cost over €5 per serving, I don’t understand why they charged €14.50 for those. I feel cheated.
