Unfortunately, our experience at this Aveiro restaurant was very disappointing due to the service received. The waiters were extremely unpleasant, which is something we never expected to find in this city known for its hospitality. The situation was especially surprising because we just wanted to have a beer, which apparently annoyed the staff greatly.

It was around 7:00 p.m., and the place was more than half empty. Before entering we asked if we could just have a beer and they said yes. However, once seated, the waiters began to openly criticize us for this decision. Portuguese is similar to Spanish, we clearly understood his derogatory comments, which made the experience even more unpleasant.

The treatment we received made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. So we drank the beer in 10 minutes AND THEY PRETENDED US TO TIP THEM!

Horrible… only for Portuguese people who are not hungry, since they take more than 40 minutes to take your order and give you a drink, even if it is a bottle (water or beer) that they don't even have to prepare….

The waiters are those who look at their navel to avoid even giving you a table when the restaurant is empty. After asking and waiting 5 minutes where you sit, they don't answer, they still don't look at you, and they force you to sit alone at the table and give you a bad face for it...
They don't bring the cards either.
The menus are ONLY IN PORTUGUESE and they believe they have made a version in English, which for each dish only has 1 word in English and 10 in Portuguese...
You only speak Portuguese and you don't know what dishes there are nor do they explain them to you nor do they speak Spanish, English or any other language (we were 5 speaking and none of them knew)

When you finally order the drink, two bottles, it takes another 30 minutes.
When ordering the food, several dishes did not have them.

To make matters worse, without prior notice, they force us to pay in cash, suspecting that they do not declare their sales to the Portuguese treasury or anyone else. Therefore I attach receipt of payment, in cash.

Not to go. No hospitality, no service or anything.

We arrived at 1:45 p.m. 2 adults and 2 children. Restaurant hours until 11pm. They tell us that if we want to eat we will have to wait a long time. We ask if it is because of the kitchen and he tells us yes. 5 tables occupied and with food served. It was clearly a "you are not welcome." What a shame with how fantastic the people in Portugal are. You encounter personnel who work in front of the public without vocation or professionalism.

Excellent find. Every meal we had was delicious, the staff were so friendly to the kids and it's good inside and outside seating.
The staff had photos of all of the food to help decide, and brought out drawing stuff for the kids and even made them little napkin boats, it was really cute.
We had the bitoque (delicious gravy), sesame tuna, shrimp rebaldaria and the fried chicken was great too. Would definitely recommend.

It is a restaurant with a very pleasant decoration and atmosphere. The food was good, the waitress kindly advised us when ordering. It took a while, but it was worth it.

Delicious Portuguese food with an Asian twist. Fantastic seared sushi grade tuna. Cod fritters light as air and melt in your mouth. Salmon tartare so flavorful it was out of this world. Delish marinated pica pau as well.Fab and friendly staff and a homey warm atmosphere. They saved us on our first visit when there were torrential rains. Will always be one of our fave spots in Aveiro.Obrigada amigos! ???
