Three of us had dinner on a Monday night. We dined early by Portuguese standards. Service was quick and attentive. I like the atmosphere of this place. One of our party had sea bass. Excellent. Very good local restaurant, evidentially popular as they were queuing out of the door! So we joined the queue and not too long after were sitting down. It's a pleasant, old-fashioned feeling place with a nostalgic long zinc counter with swivel chairs for solo diners. Waiters were busy and a bit harassed, we weren't brought any bread or anything like that (unlike other tables) but our waiter showed us what was still available on the menu. This felt like a very local restaurant. The food was outstanding. And a very casual atmosphere and didn't seem like they spoken English, but it is a very authentic experience and the food was phenomenal. The french fries were made from an actual potato, not frozen stuff. We had a chicken that was cooked on a rotisserie grill that was perfect, and a grilled steak cooked to perfect medium rare. I'm so glad we found this place. ?
