“I visited this establishment on a brief visit to Avis, and I can say that I will certainly repeat it when I go there again!
Modest and simple place, but clean and the cuisine, at least what we ate, was extraordinary!
We started with the traditional couvert (Alentejo bread, olives and butter) followed by a bowl of spinach soup and immediately followed by stewed veal and cod with cream, all very tasty!
For dessert we ordered a chocolate mousse (homemade) and a semi-cold wooden leg, which were also very delicious.
To finish, two coffees.
We paid around €23 for the meal and I can say that it was much better than the dinner the previous day where I paid in a much more traditional and not so modest place, more than double and we didn't eat that well!
In short, for those looking to eat well and don't look at "luxuries", I can only say, visit! Judging by what we ate, you won't regret it!
Congratulations to the professionals who welcomed us as they were very friendly!“

“They opened the Restaurant at 7:45 pm. The starters are ordinary but the olives were superb. They didn't have soup for dinner but they had excellent octopus à lagareiro and secretos and black pork lizards accompanied with crumbs and/or homemade fries. The secrets were good, the migas too. For dessert I had sericaia which, besides being a generous portion, was also superb. The octopus dose was at a great price €12.5 and the secret ones were €15.5“

“Ever since we discovered this welcoming and family-friendly space, we haven't stopped going whenever we can. We've already taken the whole family and even friends, not because it's the only restaurant in the area but because we really liked it. In addition to the always good food being well served, the preparation made at the moment and the friendliness with which they serve us are always an added value. Choosing dessert is actually very difficult, due to having so many options, but I was still surprised when there was also a very tasty pudding on the tray. The restaurant is very well located, it is suggested to book a table especially at the weekend. It is an unmissable place, a mandatory stop. Whether for the mixed toasts in the morning or for the excellent lunches. With a viewpoint right next to it and the church higher up, you can't go wrong. Park anywhere and walk... We recommend it and will be back soon.“

“Being allergic to garlic is not easy but Paulo's tavern made the matter easier and the meal was excellent! Calm and very welcoming atmosphere, typical without being too much. It's well worth the detour from any destination for a meal.“

“Very cool atmosphere and very friendly service. I tried the roasted cod and octopus à lagareiro. Both dishes were wonderful. I had never eaten such tender octopus! I recommend! I also had fruit salad and camel baba, which were good too. I paid €17 per person including soup and desserts.“
