The food was very good and well-prepared, and the white wine was excellent, though it could have been served colder. Inside, it was stuffy for a hot day, making the outdoor terrace the best option, as it was pleasant and well-located.
There was no menu at the entrance, so guests are invited to sit down before learning about the offerings. For those arriving without a reservation, the selection was very limited. For instance, the fish options were just two types, which were both expensive and supposedly sourced from far away, despite the presence of renowned fish auctions nearby.
Customers are compelled to discuss, negotiate, and observe the weighing of the fish, which can be intrusive for those who simply want a hassle-free dining experience. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night, despite it being summer and the high season, which may not always be a good sign or provide the desired ambiance.
While the quality of the food is good, the limited selection results in a mediocre quality/price ratio. For example, just the fish, some olives, and two glasses of wine cost 160 euros for two people.

Excellent experience, we opted for fish. We were suggested Goraz Açores in the oven for 6pxs, the wait was a little longer than we were expecting (about 1h, when they told us 45 minutes) but the dish was AMAZING.
Restaurant to go to with time to enjoy its offering, varied wine cellar with very good choices.
The kids ate the day's suggestions of pork cheeks and veal tail, both of which were very tasty and the meat was very tender.

We felt great, great surprise.
After seeing the menu, we were presented with several fish, we ended up opting for a perfectly grilled sea bream.
To start, some excellent clams with that toasted bread with butter.
Restaurant with a very elegant decor, very pleasant service.
Suggestion of wine from the region was perfect.
A little more expensive than normal but considering the quality of the restaurant in general we think it's justified.
We were afraid after seeing the less good comments but in the end it turned out to be a good moment for us.

Incredible space with out-of-this-world cuisine. We ate a lobster and a Santola, we loved it.

Portuguese cuisine restaurant, options of game dishes, sea fish and live seafood in an aquarium.
Top quality raw material.
Classic present and professional service.
Decorated in the main room in neoclassical style with arabesque details, it has a very pleasant outdoor terrace surrounded by the town's central garden and all its greenery and side by side with an old mansion.
Everything we ordered was delicious and would definitely be repeated.
It's not one of the cheapest options in the region, but it makes up for it with the quality of the product, excellent manufacturing and excellent service.

The worst kind of tourist trap you can imagine. The staff have all the dirty tricks in the book to make sure you overspend. We were brought something we didn’t order and when we came to pay, we were of course, overcharged by three times the price of a fish we ordered. The owners were very aggressive and the whole experience ended very badly. Avoid this place like the plague!
I actually had one of the worst experiences of my life in this restaurant. We where threatened to pay for something that we didn’t order. It was really unpleasant and scary. I can not recommend this place at all, not for anyone but especially not for women on their own.

Restaurantji Recommends
Beautiful atmosphere and great service, but too expensive. We ordered a fish that was not on the menu. Our fault for not asking the price. €85 for a fish when it was said that they wanted a suggestion for just one person to eat.
Very nice restaurant and great food! Very friendly and attentive staff. Quite extensive wine list. We were there on Thursday and there was a very good choice of fresh fish. Would definitely recommend venison and black boar too. Overall - I would highly recommend it!

Pleasant atmosphere with beautiful, somewhat sophisticated decor. The service is too present, annoying and pressuring you to choose dishes off the list. A grouper steak (supposedly from the Azores) was proposed, we asked the price of a steak several times. The answer was always "it's a small piece...". After all, it was €54 nonsense!! A little post! I ordered Angus hunk. I ordered it wrong. It came almost raw, and more than half was just fat. Typical goofy restaurant for tourists who will only go once in their life. For those of us who live in the area, I will never go back there and I will not fail to inform my acquaintances. All in all, a bad experience at €120 for a simple dinner with the wife. With this type of chico-spertimo there is only one solution to order dishes by price. for example: I want €25 worth of grouper, and that’s it!
