Lovely place. Simple, but simply fantastic place, found by chance along the road towards Praia da Vitoria. A small restaurant on the corner of a side street with two tables outside and a few others inside but with a beautiful atmosphere. Much is due to Paula who served and explained typical and delicious food to us. She helped us taste and enjoy cracas, "like eating the sea". Very good value for money. An experience that we will remember, at the top of the Azores travel album.
Believe the reviews. This is a fantastic place for delicious, authentic, Azorian cuisine. It's a very small, casual dining experience. We all started off with the fresh cheese and home baked bread. Then had the fish soup. I had the house white wine and my friend had the house red. Great wine. I had the beef alcatra, friend had the octopus alcatra and my partner had the oxtail alcatra. All amazing. Desserts were all homemade. Passion fruit pudding was delicious. Reservations are a must. When we were there it was packed. Can't wait to return and try some of their other creations. From what I could see on the other tables it all looked amazing.

Stopped here for lunch with Juca from Azores Expeditions in the middle of our day-long archaeology tour (highly recommended, BTW, if you love archaeology). Decided on the ox-tail alcatra. Enough for two people, but it was so good I ate it all myself... Incredibly friendly, family run establishment. Small. Intimate. Mostly local folks. Highly recommended...
A local photographer took me there for lunch. It is a family run restaurant where locals hang out. That was indeed the case the afternoon I was there we were greeted by a mother and daughter team, who were friendly and the service was fast even though they were very busy. I had limpets and cod fritters. Both were very good. I will certainly go back on my next visit.
This is your traditional go to place. From the size of the restaurant, service and food. Family ran and fish comes in fresh daily. Reservation is recommended since the place is small. They also have homemade desserts!

This is our go-to place here on the island, it’s close to us and the quality can’t be beat. Paula and her family are the best, they are genuinely caring, polite and always upbeat. The food is always fresh and delicious. You get the best value for price/ service/ quality combo. We highly recommend it to friends both local and visiting from abroad.

This is a great find. The place was full of locals. The food was very delicious and typical for the Azores. The owner is very nice and helpful. When you are close to Praia da Vittoria you should definitely eat here at (the very) least once.
