Had dinner with the kids and my wife at chachupa Brr. The food was super delicious after 4 weeks in Portugal, it was the best restaurant so far. The owner is super nice and comes for a chat at the table, the location has a nice atmosphere as if you were in Cape Verde. The only thing we missed was a menu, the rest was quite sufficient and the staff was super nice

A bit of a wait until you are served or served by the waiter
I went with my husband to have lunch at this restaurant yesterday. After paying the bill, we had doubts about the amount we were charged.
While we were still nearby, we returned to the restaurant to try to understand what this importance was due to, as it was referring to something we had not consumed.
We were told that in the absence of the owner they would not be able to explain the amount in question, and we were asked to go there at the end of the day.
We asked for the complaints book, but were told that the book was unavailable, as only the restaurant owner knew where the complaints book was located.
We informed the restaurant staff that we would therefore call the police, which we did.
While we waited for the authorities to arrive (on the street, in front of the restaurant) the employees, and the owner of the restaurant himself (who had arrived and refused to clarify anything, having instead tried to start a discussion with us) were- if simply gone. They closed the restaurant and disappeared. My husband ended up calling the police again saying that there was no point in coming, as there was no one in the restaurant to welcome them.
Here is a warning to anyone who wants to eat at this restaurant: check each part of the bill that is presented to you very carefully. And don't pay until everything is well explained. Because then there is no complaints book, no way to remedy anything.
Another detail: there is no menu on site with food offerings and respective prices. Everything is requested directly from those who serve us. The bottle of wine they brought us was presented to us at the table already opened, and then taken inside "to the fridge", as we were told. We were unable to choose either brand or price.
All in all, terrible service. Too bad, because the food is good. But "man does not live by bread alone." And some precepts of civics are necessary to run a business that lives off its clientele...

It couldn't be any different than 5 stars, a very cozy place with very friendly people who make us feel at home, the sangria is wonderful and very well served and the food...ah the food! Delicious and made by a lady who certainly has a lot of love in her hands! I highly recommend it!

A must-visit restaurant if you come to Barreiro and like Cape Verdean cachupa from the island of Sto Antão.

The cachupa was very standard, not very refined, but I ate the prawn curry and it was great. Service somewhat slow. I recommend.
