Formerly the Imperial Café, now a Maccas food chain, stands this stunning, art deco structure, located on Aliados Avenue, definitely worth a visit, if burgers aren't your thing, maybe a coffee, enjoying, the salubrious interior.

I tell every American who travels to hit a fast food chain at least once while in Europe (because it will ruin you for anything else back home lol) and this one is no exception. Fresh, looks exactly like the picture that you ordered, and you can dine in the bougiest, historical MickeyD’s on the planet ?.

I didn’t eat here - why would you? You can have a McDonalds at home! But the setting is quite special. Wonderful art deco inside that is worth a peek!

Yummy! Lots and lots of tasty food! Made my trip much better as I had some car troubles and McDonald’s once again came in clutch!

So good that this McDonald’s offers gluten free buns so you can enjoy a normal burger without having to just eat the beef patty! Gluten free buns need to be ordered at the counter, and the bread tastes amazing.

Mac Donald’s is macdonalds, nothing special, but I felt especially bad for the guy serving who with the most depressed face and tone I had ever experienced said “Have a nice meal”. Sad.

It is a pretty McDonalds, and really not much more can be said about it. There was some light confusion on certain things (I ordered a coffee and it said it was going to come out later, but there didn’t seem to be a mechanism for it) but if you look confused there were workers who spoke English there to make things run smoothly. Not a must see by any means, but a nice stop for a quick lunch.

I don’t normally review McDonalds, but just look at the photos of the décor. Very impressive and surreal to each such mediocre food in such a beautiful location. Go see for yourself.

Having read the reviews, I felt like I had to see this place,so after work I took a little trip into town to visit the most beautiful McDonald's in the world (allegedly). Of course, I immediately realised that it is still a McDonald's. Maybe it was because I visited during rush hour on a Tuesday in February but it wasn't the wonderful arty experience I was hoping for. I did sit down for long enough to take in the sheer awfulness of it. I couldn't decide whether it was worse inside, or outside in the middle of a building site. It's a world heritage site but currently they are building a metro line through the middle of it. The whole experience was enhanced by a man who was very loudly, but not violently, experiencing a psychotic episode. Unlike many town centre McDonald's, there was no security and he continued for most of the time I was eating my meal. This was the former Café Imperial and I would imagine that people shed real tears when they found out that it was becoming a McDonald's. More if they visited it. But do go and have a look. It's worth it whether you love it or hate it.

A very consistent version of the American fast food chain. It was clean and very busy. They have all of the things from the US menu and it tasted the same. They have ample free parking, a drive thru, and a healthy amount of outside seating.

Bad service and not tasty at all… They messed up everything. Price and visit not worth it! They have to learn a lot from other locations…

I can't justify giving a five star review to a chain, fast food place but I did enjoy seeing the beautiful interior of this McDonalds! I only visit a chain I can easily experience in the US if there is something unique about the building or menu. In this case, both factors were present and I was able to order soup (something I have not seen before in the US). It was clean, service was quick, and there was lots of seating.
