Today I had a bad experience at this restaurant, which many say is very welcoming.... We entered at 8pm, closing time at 9pm, but they didn't let us get past the door...a waitress came to say that they were already closed...how, if they were on schedule, there were empty tables and customers dining... .. The experience remained, which could have been good and at this point my review would be positive.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem as we were walking through Beja and were looking for a lunch place. Delicious local dishes - we had a peasant style lamb stew with potatoes, that was a favourite of our toddler, and Alentejano porc with clams, both very flavourful and tender! Cosy atmosphere and attentive service.

We were in Beja, passing through, and we found this quaint restaurant with excellent lunchtime service. We all enjoyed our steaks. Which were cooked to perfection. We were early, so we really can't comment on the atmosphere. However, the waiter and the chef made us very welcome.

I don't care much about other customers' comments but today I had to check out this little establishment. An old restaurant with an old and tired owner. Mr Carlos always complains and calls employees' attention to everything. The food isn't bad and I actually liked it. The only big thing was the bill, which was extra. But the owner needs a good vacation.
