This was a great experience.The food was typically Portuguese,plenty of it and served by friendly staff.We ate in the smaller more basic dining room but that made everything more authentic.Very happy to recommend this restaurant

When we visited only the small room to the rear of the restaurant was open and we were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked, others who came later were not so fortunate. We had well prepared basic food which was of good quality and more than ample size. The staff were friendly and courteous, all in all a good experience which we are happy to recommend.

Amazing Lunch! You won't be disappointed with the traditional dishes served at this restaurant. Bar Restaurante-Casa do Povo is minutes away from the Pousada. Irene suggested the traditional dishes cooked in clay pots. The servings were large and enough for two people. The other dishes were outstanding. The price was very reasonable and the service was quick.
