Food was very good and cheep for a high end restaurant like this establishment!!! Desert is a must especially the chocolate textures and the crème brûlée. HIDDEN GEM!!!

We had here quite simply the worst dinning experience our group of 7 friends have ever had. A 90 minute wait for our main course which when it arrived featured several stone cold tuna fish dishes which were supposed to be hot, a filet steak which was supposed to be medium rare but which was a dark brown colour inside, and a sea bass which was still frozen in the middle. The restaurant was content to acknowledge that they had a "major problem" in the kitchen but when we suggested nicely and calmly that in the circumstances that we should only pay for our starters, they called the police! With some assistance from two local police officers, we eventually paid pretty much what we had offered to pay at the outset after an hour's discussion in the hotel's reception. Quite an extraordinarily awful experience and quite unprecedented in 60 years of dinning out in Portugal

Everything 5 stars. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, everything was very beautiful, clean, in order and the reception was fragrant. The restaurant is very beautiful and cozy, and the staff are kind and attentive. The fireplace in the middle of the room makes everything better. Try the starter breads, made right there. Everything was divine, olive oil, butter and the best olive pate I've ever tasted. We love the regional red wine and especially the dishes (angus and carré). Thank you so much for giving us such joy ♡

This was a unique experience that I would recommend for everyone who is passing by this area.First of all, the space is beautiful and has an amazing view of the mountains surrounding this village. As it is located inside a “Pousada” you can also expect a level of comfort and a beautiful and cosy design of the space. In terms of the food, it does not disappoint. The couvert is really good. The mains were really tasty: we ordered the dishes with cod, linguado, pasta and meat. Even if you are not a mushroom love(which is truly present in most of the dishes) there are always options for you.To end the night, we ordered what, for me, is the main star of this experience, the desert. I confess this was what I was looking forward the most. And I have to say the hype around it is very well deserved. We ordered the famous Crème Brûlée and the chocolate dessert. The second one I would only recommend if you are a true chocolate lover like me as it can get a bit overpowering for others OR maybe order it to share. But, I will say that the thing that will make me want to come back here again is the first dessert, it is amazing, from the presentation to the flavour itself. Definitely order it!One final word for the staff who were amazing and always available to answer any of our questions.I would also say this is a place you should book in advance, if you are interest in going there.I will, for sure, come back here!

From the moment you arrive to this location the magic starts happening. The place sits at a top of a mountain with beautiful views, then you walk into the restaurant and you are welcomed by Nuno and Gabriel, with the only mission to make you feel wonderful. Guided by Nuno with a special touch of explaining the menu you know it's going to be an experience. Once you start eating it becomes an exceptional experience, from beginning to end. Nuno and Gabriel mission accomplished, we wished we could have stayed longer to tryout everything. Thanks

Exceptional service, as is the food. the dishes are impeccable, with a divine touch. I ordered veal accompanied by mashed potatoes with mountain cheese, the hunk of meat fell apart in my mouth. For dessert, I attached photos of the creamy milk (extraordinary) on the stone and crunchy pumpkin jam with cream cheese. I highly recommend it!!!

I just didn't appreciate the partridge... it was noticed that it was heated and poorly... dry... qty misfit. .I expected more...much more. Quoting Aristotle creates responsibility. Very good service. Overall..a bit pretentious
