“Incredible! We went to dinner at this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't choose better. The food is undoubtedly spectacular, from the original and delicious starters to the main dishes and desserts ??? but we will never forget the friendliness, professionalism and availability of the entire team. “Nice authentic Portuguese restaurant. Nice interior, although bit outdated at some points. Friendly staff,very straight forward and no posh. Simply lovely. Food is good:nice portions and tastefull. The big bummer are the table stands/holders for the salt & pepper (rusty!!) and also the ones for vinegar and oil (paint fell off) ...they really need to be replaced.. (see photos)“

“I visited this establishment on a brief visit to Avis, and I can say that I will certainly repeat it when I go there again!
Modest and simple place, but clean and the cuisine, at least what we ate, was extraordinary!
We started with the traditional couvert (Alentejo bread, olives and butter) followed by a bowl of spinach soup and immediately followed by stewed veal and cod with cream, all very tasty!
For dessert we ordered a chocolate mousse (homemade) and a semi-cold wooden leg, which were also very delicious.
To finish, two coffees.
We paid around €23 for the meal and I can say that it was much better than the dinner the previous day where I paid in a much more traditional and not so modest place, more than double and we didn't eat that well!
In short, for those looking to eat well and don't look at "luxuries", I can only say, visit! Judging by what we ate, you won't regret it!

“We recently dined at Restaurant ‘O Toino Moleiro, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, elegant atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The service was impeccable. The staff were extremely polite.
The food was nothing short of spectacular and extremely delicious. We ordered sea bass which was accompanied by potatoes and salad. It was bursting with flavor.
The combination of tasty food, impeccable service and cozy atmosphere- what more can one ask for?
Our only regret is not eating there sooner but you know what they say, save the best for last :D

“Overall the food was tasty for the price. The salt cod fritters were tasty. The prawns on small plates was disappointing, not enough flavour. The half chicken was really tasty, and had the Brocolli and beans on the side, which was unexpectedly incredible. Asked to take leftovers home but our waiter cleared the Brocolli plate - i didn't spot it in time so was gutted. Took home the chicken. Unfortunately, we were asked to give the table back after 1hr15, which was not good. We should have had it for 1hr45, and the waiter had not at any point asked us if we wanted another drink or dessert menu, so felt like they wanted us out. We made a point of having dessert and waiter said that was ok. Not a big deal in the end but not great. Wouldn't stop me coming again though.“
