Local dishes, superlative quality of food perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is domestic and the view is pretty nice. All the staff is gentle and some of them speak English. We have tried lapas (kindly recommended), tuna and octopus, everything was excellent!

The restaurant is cool, don't get me wrong. But the way the "owner" treats customers who are not 100% satisfied, and the way he writes "Portuguese", it's even scary to try a restaurant like this, supposedly of a higher level. I also think it's amazing that you always write "good luck" when you don't like a customer's comment...
When the bosses themselves don't know the expression "the customer is always right" (or when they aren't, they pretend) one cannot ask for more from the (terrible) service that, in general, is experienced in the Azores. Which is a shame, considering the cuisine available.
Go to Sabores Sopranos, just don't make too many waves and don't forget to treat your boss and employees well.

Incredible food, we went there twice, it was so delicious! The fried cod on a bed of fresh spinach is a real treat, the fish soup delicious and another time a mixed fish dish well served!
The kindness and attention of the staff are worth remembering, the prices are very fair and the waitress with short hair was ADORABLE! Thank you for his smile!
When I read some comments about the waiting time... If the restaurant is already crowded, they already warn you right away of a certain waiting time (instead of refusing us) and the dishes don't come out of the micro- waves because they are prepared with care and taste! I will return without hesitation! for the angry, there are fast food restaurants in Faial :)

Amazing food, among best in the island (if not the very best). However the service is extremely disorganized and shows poor management. We were made to wait more than one hour for a table, when there were several free tables for people that arrived more than 2 hours after us. After we were seated, waiting time for food was also more than one hour. We arrived at 13h, left after 17h, for a quick 2 dish meal.
The food was so good however, that we did come back again, when the restaurant was completely empty. Waiting times were still substantial, but not problematic of course.
Maybe some restaurants in são Jorge should increase payment to employees, in order to attract more workers and solve lack of staff problems.

We went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, we really enjoyed it. Regarding the food, we ordered black pork and octopus. They were both very tasty. But what I want to highlight here is the service. There was an employee, Ricardo, who was very friendly and attentive and his colleague (Quirina) was also there. I definitely recommend it!!
