I would rate it 10/5 if I could. Dad manned the grill, while mom fried up some of the best fries. An authentic family owned restaurant, SO friendly and helpful. EVERYTHING is home grown, so it's a true farm to table Portuguese experience. MUST GO.
Thieves.There is no menu, so they charge you whatever they are feeling at that moment, when we got the receipt after we paid it just said "Meal x1", there was no itemization.We went as a group of 4 people, we ate 2 skewers in total, 2 colas, 1 water and 2 small beers, we had fries, bread and salad as sides, and the total was 61€! Assuming everything was priced above average, skewers at 30€ (15€ each), drinks at 10€ (2€ each), and sides at 12€ (4€ each) we're still missing 9€ here, and that's assuming everything is way overpriced! No way to know for sure since they don't itemize bills...The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either, I advise everyone, especially tourists, to stay away. There don't seem to be any standards.

When me and my husband ordered this fantastic yummy in my tummy food , when this fantastic food came , it was so good , i nearly passed out , but…it wasn’t enough i ate everything, but my husband couldn’t enjoy the meal because it wasn’t enough FOOD!!!i am very disappointed in your food portion choices but it was delicious if you ever go to this restaurant ten please order the bat soup but order a large portion it is truly amazing.

Best espetada in Madeira! The meat quality is amazing. Whether a piece of meat is medium rare or medium well, it's delicious and you won't leave a piece on the skewer or on your plate. They don’t have a menu because they are specialized on Espetada.
We drove by here with a nice appetite, sat down and saw the espetada at another table and we thought it was tasty too.And it was tasty..... then ate espetada at 2 other restaurants, but it didn't come close. Absolutely recommended.
