“We have been away on an extended holiday on the Algarve. We got tired of driving up and down the coast visiting beach bars and restaurant. We decided to venture in land. Found this lovely traditional friendly Bar and Grill in a quiet village away from all the tourists, selling simple English and Italian food. Personal service great atmosphere with mostly locals. Well worth the 30 minute drive north of Vilamoura. What we did is spend a lazy afternoon wandering round Loule a beautiful Portuguese town then take a 15 minute drive west over to the bar for an evening meal. Child friendly warm welcoming atmosphere. Parking: In the Middle of the village with small amount of private parking plus off street parking spaces.

Kid-friendliness: The owner welcomes children and the home made burgers are to die for.“

“Super tasty food, definitely recommended for a cheap meal on the strip. I bought chicken wings with fries for €7.50, and they look exactly like the photos in the other reviews. Soft drinks are €2.50, which is also a good price, and you can also order delicious salads for €3.00. Even if you are already full enough from a full plate of one of the main courses.

Definitely recommended if you want to eat cheaply, quickly and deliciously, without it feeling like fast food.“

“I visited on Wednesday 10th July as a place I had saved on my maps while visiting Portugal, and I was happy I did. such a lovely warm welcoming visit and a nice atmosphere to watch the match without all the madness of the strip. I was a solo traveller and felt so comfortable visiting the Yorkshire tavern by my self (felt like my local at home ) they looked after me and so did the other holiday visitors and helped me get a taxi back to my hotel so I did not walk down the mad strip by my self. the local beer was so nice and I enjoyed the company of everyone there while watching the match, like I said felt like home from home. thank you so much for your lovely welcoming and atmosphere, I did truly have a good night. “Soft Caffe is fantastic, really friendly, great staff, food is lovely & they make a lovely sangria! Food & drink is super value for money. “I've visited Paulo's Bar numerous times on 4 of the 5 occasions that I have visited Albufeira (the bar was closed for the winter when I was there last November - and I missed it!). Paulo is the friendliest and funniest guy you will meet while in Albufeira - only Pearsie at Jinky's Bar is as funny and friendly as Paulo is. The Bar is a wee gem of a place, great to just sit out with a few beers and watch the world go by and it is one of those bars where you are never on your own for long as it is always only a matter of time before you are in company with others or with Paulo himself. I can't recommend this wee gem of bar highly enough - if you are in the Old Town, pop in and find out for yourself why I recommend it so highly. As for negative reviews posted earlier, well, not everyone is a pleasant and respectful guest and Paulo, to his credit, does not stand for any nonsense, for the benefit, pleasure and comfort of his guests whom he values greatly, which is why so many visitors return year after year and often several times each year. Because he does not allow Stag and Hen parties, Paulo creates an atmosphere in his bar that is suitable and conducive to solo guests, couples and families, unlike many of the bars around the Old Town. When you are in Albufeira, pop in for a few drinks and see why I rate this wee bar, and Paulo, so highly - I'm certain that you won't regret doing so!“

Hardly cleans the tables, or make the place look inviting. The restaurant (Snack Shack) next door, which serves food (very good) here, was very organized. The employee next door, Javed, is very attentive, friendly and super polite.!“

“This is a great, cozy little pub, with plenty of well-positioned TVs for watching sports, and ample outside seating as well. At €4 a pint, it's a euro cheaper than the bars that are right on the marina, and this is just off of it. The very pleasant Portuguese bar maid who served us had excellent English, and was quick to get us our drinks. The featured musician played soft, acoustic versions of classic Rock and pop songs, which added to the relaxing ambience. The only downside was that they accept cash only, but that wasn't a big deal.“

“The best camping experience we have had, they are very helpful and super friendly, they have bathrooms, a shower, electricity, a little bar and a food truck and everything is very well decorated and decorated in a vintage country style. I recommend them with my eyes closed and without a doubt if we return to the Algarve on another occasion we will stay with them again! And also very economical. “My wife and I decided to eat out at Invictus last night and we were so happy that we did, the food and the service was excellent. Unfortunately we do not speak Portuguese but that didn’t make ordering difficult as the menu is in English. We both had the same starter and we chose chicken and steak for our main courses, both were cooked to perfection. The Chocolate cake for dessert was tasty. There was a substantial drinks menu made available to us and Alcohol free beer was one of them. Overall, it was a lovely meal and definitely value for money. After the meal we were treated to an evening of live music from the band in the downstairs bar, they were really good. We will certainly return to Invictus.“

Wide variety of fish and specialized in rice and cataplanas, we order the seafood rice and they bring you a casserole for 3 or 4 servings, you have to go hungry, good rice and a large amount of varied seafood, prawns, crayfish, beef, crab, mussels, clams. Very rich.

Very good atmosphere, a lot of variety of drinks and cocktails, but the most important thing is the staff, a girl and a boy who were super friendly, they served us with great pleasure, they recommended typical drinks from there. They are charming and professional. A 10 falls short. If I return to Loulé it will be a must visit.“

We ended up having a good sesh in 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. Joe is a top guy, great barman with a huge heart. Portugals finest. We then recently came back from a 7 night stay and headed straight over to see joe watched the champs league final and the 5vs5 boxing think we walked in at 8pm and left at 4am.....don't ask but it was a great laugh. Visited this little gem of a bar a few times whilst in Vilamoura. The chap who runs it I think is called Helder. (Apologies if I have spelled that incorrectly) He was extremely friendly and polite and the bar had a great selection of drinks at cheaper prices than round the marina. The bar was extremely clean and tidy and the kitchen looked spotless. We had lunchtime snacks there which were cheaper than the marina and very tasty. There are a couple of bars at this location, this one being by far the best. Very handy for a drink and a snack if your staying at the Crown Plaza, or the Dom Pedro across the road.“

“Husband and wife run the place, very friendly. Our apartment was right next door and we stopped there often. They offer light snacks like sandwiches, but also have fish & meat of the day updated daily. “Lima is a small family run restaurant just near the Brejos/ Montechoro roundabout and near the new Intermarche Hypermarket. My family and friends have been patrons of this superb eatery for 19 years. Remarkable value down to earth meals. I particularly recommend the Seabass with potatoes and salad. But ask them to hold off on the amount of salt they tend to cook with. Also they have a lovely local white veno verde on tap ,- great fizzy taste. Recommended.

“We popped into Tunes every day on our way down to the Square and it was always our second last stop going back up the hill. Shirley and Andrew were great to us for the whole month. Ziggy the owner (a good guy) is changing the name shortly to Stardust but things will stay the same. Recommended to us by Alan Smith owner of the Britannia (which he sold during Covid)in the New town and moved back to Liverpool. Just go there and have some good banter.“
