The ambience complimented with quintessential colonial theme, beautifully appointed. The house wine is well worth a try, nicest I've had in a long time, the food presentation and flavour exceptional. The deserts simply yummy. Service attentive and light hearted. Such was the experience my family and friends had thought worthy to promote so others could enjoy this gem. Bravo to all concerned.

This place is so special, a real treat. Fantastic in every way from ambience, food, setting, decor, staff. A real find out in Portugal and worth the trip out there. Prices are really reasonable considering the quality of the food. Can't wait to go back.

A superb experience from start to finish. Place with pleasant decor and flawless service.As for the food, I wanted to check out the rest of the menu.We ordered the fish cakes and baked cheese as a starter, both delicious and well presented.For main was the steak on top of cauliflower and risotto (which came as a starter on the menu, but we were told it could serve as a main)Although the risotto could have been better (it tasted too much like lemon and was floury instead of creamy), the meat was divine. Super tender and tasty, you didn't even need a knife to eat it.Dessert was caramelized pineapple with a scoop of coconut ice cream. Very good!
Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian black of the day on the menu.

We visit the birds nest restaurant regularly and are never disappointed. Sunday lunch is excellent value, a lovely choice of starters and traditional roast to follow. There is always a variety of delicious homemade desserts. The food, restaurant decor, service and atmosphere is always fabulous and it’s our favourite restaurant. We would highly recommend

We were very regular overseas travellers. Not sadly in last few years! So back in the Algarve now - and coming back to this superb restaurant was our first thought. It was and thankfully still is simply THE BEST! Yes it’s a short trip inland from the Vilamoura area but SO worth travelling to. The wonderfully cooked and presented food continues in every dish - not just good but exceptional. We each had different dishes for all three courses and savoured everyone. You even start with lovely homemade bread. So enable in an unhurried setting. The welcome from Sandra is warm and genuine. She and her colleagues make you feel like visiting friends - especially at home because of the lovely ( and beautifully maintained) decor. An elegant but not pretentious room, beautiful table linen, well spaced tables - a perfect combination to relax and make any meal special. The rack of lamb was especially delicious with the cheese soufflé and goats cheese and pear starters equal favourites. Save some space for dessert s of the day too!! Sensibly there are also very enjoyable wines available by the glass as well as the bottle. We’ve already booked again. If we lived here we’d be absolute regulars!
