O Espalha Brasas is a rustic restaurant with a pleasant and peculiar atmosphere, offering well-stocked dishes baked in the oven. The staff is friendly, helpful, and extremely attentive, with the owner going out of his way to accommodate guests. The Oven-Roasted Chispe is a generous portion, recommended for sharing, while the black pork cheeks are very good, not very fatty, and well prepared. The cod with spinach and baked meats are also highlights, though some find the cod lacking flavor and the toasted chicken too greasy.
