Fantastic reason to visit the beautiful town of Vila Viçosa. Genuinely friendly staff whether you order a coffee or a full meal. Excellent menu with good vegetarian options. Very reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. Have taken various friends who now each describe it as 'our restaurant'. If you like lamb, the shank that they serve will delight you beyond expectation!

I like to visit here each time I'm in Portugal. Its a lovely place, the staff are so friendly, theres a good choice of food and drink which is all delicious as far as I've tried. There's a relaxed atmosphere and they're just as happy for you to sit with a coffee as spend hours over a full meal. Dogs are welcome in the outside area too.

We went here for lunch. It was a good lunch. They had two black pork secreta entrees on the dinner menu so we went back for dinner, just for the secreto. No disappointment here. If you have never had secreto, which is a rare thing to find in the USA, you are in for the experience of an eating lifetime. It is a “bacon steak,” but made with black pok.
