“Very good restaurant with good prices! ??
After a year we were here again and were again very excited that we came two days in a row. ? ✨️

?The dishes arrived after an amazing 10-15 minutes and tasted very good. ? I personally really liked the burger with tomato mozzarella ("Milano") as it has a tasty patty and is served with just one slice of bread instead of two standard burger buns. "Sweet Carrapateira" is also recommended and "Classic Large Burger" was also good. You can't say anything about the large sangria? with fruit for €5♡!
With two burgers, a Fanta, a sangria, two pieces of cake and a tip, we came to €40, which is worth mentioning!

? The service was attentive and friendly. Since the restaurant is on a street, parking spaces are limited, but you can always find something nearby. Otherwise you can sit both outside and inside, barrier-free. Seating is limited, but there is still the option to wait on the walls or benches with service.

“We just wanted a cup of cafe on our tour... it was really good and so was the muffin and some kind of Florentine. 2 cappuccinos + the above-mentioned pastries for EUR 7 are really sweet. You sit with locals in the shade without tourist noise... just how we like it!“

“Great little restaurant with a pool and therapy centre. The food is very good, mostly healthy options, Buddha bowls, salads etc, but other options are on the menu.

Fantastic breakfast options, open toasts, breakfast bowls, even a Portuguese take on a full English.

Off the beaten track unless you're in one of the many nearby villa's or small hotels . It's always busy, so book if you want an outside table. Could use another waiter as the two serving each time we went are run ragged. (Still with a smile though)“

“Excellent food. One of the more low key places on the strip, but one of the best. Easy to overlook but trust me you won't be disappointed. One of the best burgers I have ever had. My daughter had the Caprese salad, and just wow. Every thing is home made, the beef patty, pesto for salad etc.. so yeah don't judge a book by its cover, on the surface just a little care but far from humble food ..“

“Make a reservation. We did not know it’d be required but it is high season. Fortunately, we were able to take away pizza for the short walk back to our place. Two pizzas is more than enough for 2 people. The pizzas were tasty and good. The crust was super thin and crispy. The ingredients seemed fresh. I would go back.“

“This was the perfect place to be for a holiday! We went there for lunch and dinner. The portions are huge and it really feels as if a Portuguese grandma has cooked the food with love. You can even see the lady cooking from a tiny window and we always waved at each other- the atmosphere was heartwarming. We will come back to this restaurant everytime we are in Madeira“

“Our favorite restaurant in Portugal. We called and made a reservation in advance as that appears to be required. My husband loved the cream of spinach soup and the pork tenderloin with orange sauce and I enjoyed the filet with an olive oil rosemary sauce. We also both liked the salad they served with the meal. We liked it so much we made a reservation for the next night while we were at the restaurant.“

“My family and I had a great meal here at Adega Do Papagaio. It was a great experience for the kids cooking on a hot plate and I'd recommend anyone staying at Turisocampo site to make the 15min walk to the village of Espiche. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly.“

“Every time we come out to Portugal we always come here the food here is amazing the service is also amazing and the atmosphere is also great. I was here on july 20th they had live music and they were great. We also had a really nice Chat with the owner and he is really nice and friendly

We had an amazing evening dinner at Solar do Perceve. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the seafood and selection of good wines. Lovely local atmosphere—familial and typical restaurant in the heart of the village. Friendly and excellent service. Highly recommended for people who want to have a Portuguese flavor!“

We ordered nachos with guacamole, a burger and a pizza.

The guacamole was very delicious, it was homemade. The normal burger and pizza.

“We arrived at the place by chance looking for where to eat in the area.
As for the food, it was very good, we ordered nachos, tacos, salad, bull burger, classic burger, pasta carbonara and fried bacon and cheedar, these last ones disappointed me, we ordered it as a starter because it is usually a safe bet but the flavor of cheedar did not convince them.
The food was very filling and the portions were large.
However, despite the quality of the food and the atmosphere (very close to the beach, current music, etc...) I don't think it is worth paying what it costs, it is quite expensive. I do not recommend ordering sangria at all because the flavor is nothing out of the ordinary and they charged us €22.50.
The pasta carbonara was the star dish along with the bull burger.“

“We loved the place. We ordered fried brunette, a pork stew and grilled squid. Everything was delicious, and the attention of the waitress, I think her name was Paula, was great. Furthermore, I have to highlight how well they behaved, because when paying, the card did not pass and we had to pass it again. Until then, everything was normal, but after a while, when I checked with my bank, the payment had been made twice. We returned and they refunded our money without any problem. We kept the phones in case something happened and two days later the owner called me telling me that he had only charged it once. I had double charges in my bank. After speaking with my bank, I sent them proof that the two payments had been made, and without a problem. Thank you very much for the treatment and patience to the owner of that place. If we return to Vila do Bispo, we will definitely return. We have been delighted with the treatment received.“

“We have been to this bar before having visited this area in Portugal for many years, and this time it was a very different experience. We tried the tapas small plates. The food was amazing, the delicacy of the flavours was superb & the homemade bread was truly delightful, so fresh. When you add all the small dishes together it is not a cheap meal but you don’t need a vast amount of food as the intensity of the flavours satisfy. The staff were helpful, informative & very efficient. And of course complements to the chef. We hope to return when we next visit the area.“
