I went to this cafe/restaurant after reading the reviews about the food they served, especially the francesinha, which seemed to be one of the most popular dishes in this restaurant. I don't know if it was bad luck or if the cook wasn't inspired, but it was definitely the worst francesinha I've ever eaten. The sauce was horrible, it tasted like ketchup and little else. We ordered two portions of fries and they only brought us one, which was barely enough for one person.
The service was reasonable, nothing to complain about.
We have been coming here regularly since 1997 and each time it is a pleasure to see the changes. The cuisine remains as good and generous as ever. A very friendly team. An even more modern and pleasant setting. I recommend to all people, especially foreigners, to discover a real place typical of Portuguese popular culture. Very affordable prices and good food. Run there quickly

From the outside it looks like a typical bar where locals hardly go, but you go inside and it's already impressive. The staff were very friendly and, even though they didn't know our language, we understood each other and communicated well. We were a large group, about 10 people, and the food came for everyone in no time. They also have Wifi available, although the only problem is that if you are a large group you can only eat inside.
Vegetarian options: They have a separate and extensive menu dedicated to people who prefer vegetarian food. No one ordered from that menu, but they had an ample quantity.
