We wanted a light lunch before touring the Gulbenkian Museum. We were more than pleased with the choice of the cafe. Choices were quite extensive, prices very reasonable. Service was a bit slow due to the crowd, but well worth the wait. Had a chance to sit our side by the gardens on a perfect day to top it all off.

My husband's vegetarian special was horrible: cubes of raw tofu in a bland sauce with a big clump of white rice. I ordered the fish special: salmon with pasta. A few small pieces of salmon with a lot of macaroni. I also ordered beets because I saw them in a nice looking salad but instead they brought out red cabbage. It was the best part of an inedible meal. Full disclosure: we ate there 4 years ago and it was quite good so we had high expectations. maybe we just hit a very bad day.
