In terms of quality, the Sushi is good but after a while it becomes repetitive as the pieces are always the same. Could have more variety in freestyle

My rating should be understood from the point of view of someone who doesn't like sushi ?
The service is very careful and the dishes look great, however the alternatives for those who don't like sushi are few and insufficient in quantity. Otherwise everything is excellent. The price of the dishes is high compared to the portions served.

Unfortunately, the traditional sushi combo is not designed for two people. The 18-piece combination came with 6 and 4 exactly the same pieces. When you order a combo the idea is to get a variety of pieces and that didn't happen. Unfortunately, what caught my attention the most was the service, which, faced with this situation, made no effort to resolve it and had a terrible reaction.

Very beautiful establishment, the decoration is magical and invites us to Japan…. It’s a shame that the digital menu doesn’t have photos of the dishes on offer. A marvel for the taste buds.

Parking: Difficult to park nearby.

Hoko Sushi Bar is a true haven for lovers of Japanese cuisine. From the moment we enter the restaurant, we are greeted with impeccable service, where attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff make all the difference. The atmosphere is pleasant, with a musical selection that perfectly complements the gastronomic experience, making the visit even more pleasurable.

The star of Hoko Sushi Bar, without a doubt, is the food. Each dish is prepared with exceptional care, standing out for the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity in the flavor combinations. I highly recommend the salmon zuke, a delicacy that melts in your mouth, as well as the gunkan foie gras and the gunkan truffled egg, which are true delights for the palate. Yakimeshi is a delicious fried rice that goes perfectly with any main dish. And, to finish in style, the Japanese preguinho is an unmissable choice.

The drinks offering doesn't disappoint either. The Japanese Mule, a refreshing variation on the classic Moscow Mule, is simply delicious and perfectly complements the flavors of the dishes served.

The space, despite being welcoming, could benefit from some adjustments to become even more cozy. Due to the high ceilings and the proximity to the road, as well as the location in a business hub building, the placement of velvet curtains could help create a more intimate and welcoming atmosphere, isolating a little from outside noise and adding a touch of sophistication to the environment.

In summary, Hoko Sushi Bar is an excellent option for those looking for an authentic and sophisticated Japanese gastronomic experience. With exemplary service, pleasant music and exceptional food, it is certainly a place worth visiting. With some small improvements to the environment, it could easily become one of the best gastronomic destinations in the city.

They had a house with tables to be served, however they said the kitchen was closed at 2.30pm when on Google it says it closes at 3pm

Place with great food but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Unprofessional, friendly staff but with little training. Given the amount they charge customers, they have to quickly invest in a premium service

I've tried Hoko twice and the experience is always excellent! We ordered sushi à la carte and it's the best sushi we've ever tasted! Spectacular quality. The atmosphere is serene, the staff is very attentive and friendly. Now it is our favorite sushi in the Minho region.
