Super hot and stuffy place. Bathroom without toilet paper and liquid soap, wet and slippery floor. Slow waiter. It took more than 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Drink came at room temperature. Oily food, bad seasoning. Potatoes that are barely fried, pale, without salt. Extremely fatty and undercooked meat (I asked for medium rare). Cloying sauce. Bad dessert. Oranges and pineapples as “garnish” on food. To pay you have to get up because the card machine doesn't come to the table. I ordered steak with mushrooms. My friend ordered veal, oil and bone sauce, little meat. Hard picanha and thin beans. Expensive for terrible quality. Worst experience in Gerês.

If I could I would give 0 stars.
- Bathroom without light and without paper;
- Hot place;
- Hot drink;
- Bad fans;
- Pure oil food;
- No flavor and seasoning;
- Combinations of horrible and completely unconnected dishes (pineapple in picanha?);
- Fatty and hard meats;
- If you put the picanha on your foot, it turns into a slipper;
- Undercooked and hard side dishes (beans and rice);
- French fries that only have their name as fries;
- It is not possible to finish a dish because it is so bad;
I don't recommend it!!!!

I don't know if it was because I went in August, but I saw posts from friends and the portions were large. table or air conditioning couldn't carry those prices

Restaurant with a magnificent view. Food on another level. The cornbread with cheese and walnut filling is a wonderful surprise. The octopus with cornbread is equally incredible. I recommend. A diamond in the rough in the heart of Gerês.

The food was quite nice, and arrived quite quickly. Francesinha was tasty although the sauce was too tomato-ey and sweet. Black pork was good, nice char, but a little dry. Disadvantage is that you are in the smoke of the grill, which is not that nice if you have sensitive airways. But overall a good experience.
Vegetarian options: One vegetarian main: vegan spaghetti bolognese. Could be more but it was tasty.

It could have been 5 stars, if it weren't for the oversight that happened. I believe that everyone can make mistakes, I believe that there could be a stock failure, however, the customer must be notified that there is a shortage of product x and they can exchange it for y.
I ordered a caprese, which specifically describes a mozzarella cheese ball. Feta cheese was delivered to the table, we spoke to the employee who, not believing what he was saying, went to check the menu, apologized and removed the dish to replace it with the right one (at least he thought that).
I'm surprised when the same salad arrives again but with twice as much feta cheese as before.
We called the employee again and explained that the dish was still incorrect, the response given was: oh, ma'am, this mozzarella is cut into squares.
I repeat, we can all have errors and stock shortages, but don't try to deceive the customer in this way. Suffice it to say that there was none. Conclusion I ordered a tomato salad, as whoever was with me was already finishing their dish. 5 tomato segments arrived at the table without any seasoning and with all the contempt in the world, I still had to pay €6 for that shame, they could have come up with a solution.
The sirloin steak according to my husband was excellent.
I'm sorry that this experience doesn't make us return to this place, in terms of atmosphere it's great.

Very good wood-fired grill. Too bad that in the evening half of the grills were not available. The servers are welcoming and friendly.

Restaurantji Recommends
It is really hard to review the restaurant. The menu sounds amazing, but….. first we order a Dourada, sorry we are out of Dourada, ok so I will have octopus, 15 minutes later, sorry we ran out of Octopus…. Ok, we changed to Pernil, 90% fat, 10% meat. They must review the management of the restaurant, maybe they will get better. Very disappointed ?

It was suggested that we see the chef's suggestion list, as everything was made in a wood-fired oven. We chose roast lamb, it came hot, however, the rice was not fresh and had a questionable smell. The potatoes were raw and the goat was not fresh either. It was not a good experience at all. Service q.b.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is not accessible for people in wheelchairs, as access is via stairs

It's a pretty nice restaurant ?, but if you order on the English ?? menu: the chefs special, it says smoked lamb ? but it's Not actually lamb but goat ? it's not bad but if you wanted lamb its a bit disappointing. All the other things were very nice ?. If you read this please change your lamb to goat Pedra Bella. Thank you ?.
