São Frutuoso Restaurant in Braga, Portugal offers a unique dining experience with its antique shop-like environment, over 100 years old with raw wooden beams and walls from the last century. The service is exceptional, characterized by personalized attention, good humor, and joy. The restaurant is known for its delicious dishes, particularly the baked cod with chestnuts, which is considered the best in Portugal. They also recommend a great Douro wine at a good price. The charming and cozy atmosphere, along with the spectacular cod and exquisite homemade desserts, make São Frutuoso a must-visit restaurant. The menu is very varied, with obvious emphasis on the different ways of serving cod. The famous Papas de Sarrabulho are only made in winter, but there are Rojões, and the homemade desserts are worth a look and taste. The exemplary welcome from the owner, Mr. Rolando, who manages the space with his sister, is to be commended. The Bacalhau à Braga and the Pudding Abade de Priscos are of excellent quality, and the service is efficient and friendly. The price is fair, taking into account the quality and quantity.
