Pleasantly surprised by the cuisine, the treatment and the place. Cod with chestnuts is recommended. From the Boliños to the coffee, everything is very good

An authentic gastronomic treasure hidden in the city of Braga!
Very well maintained rustic house. The menu is very varied, with obvious emphasis on the different ways of serving cod. We chose the same one wrapped in puff pastry, and I guarantee it was the most divine cod I've eaten outside of home in a long time! Only by trying it will you be sure of what I say. Even the cod fritters for starters are a positive surprise as they contain more fish (very tasty!) than potatoes.
Please note that the famous Papas de Sarrabulho are only made in winter, so don't be mistaken! There are Rojões, and the homemade desserts are worth a look... and taste. How wonderful!
The exemplary welcome from Mr. Rolando, who manages the space with his sister, is to be commended. Whether in the food advice or in the two conversations that we pleasantly maintained.
I strongly recommend a visit to this house with excellent homemade food and prices in line with what is served to us. My sincere congratulations!

Parking: There is no possibility of parking on the street. Only nearby.

The Bacalhau à Braga is of excellent quality, one of the best we've ever eaten, as is the Pudding Abade de Priscos.
It is an old restaurant, quite rustic and picturesque but excellently restored. The decor is quite adequate.
The service is efficient and friendly.
The price is fair taking into account the quality and quantity.
I recommend and will be back.

Incredible!. Typical restaurant reminiscent of 21st century environments, stone walls, very pleasant atmosphere. Very polite owners. The food had a unique flavor, the dessert and wine were perfect.

We were eager to try some authentic Portuguese cuisine during our road trip, only to be sorely disappointed by our experience at this establishment. The service was dismal, characterized by a server whose attitude was not only unhelpful but openly disdainful. Our earnest attempts to engage using the local language were met with ridicule rather than appreciation, making us feel unwelcome and embarrassed about our pronunciation. To make matters worse, the bread served was so stale it could have caused dental damage. Communication with the server was an exercise in futility; his rapid-fire Portuguese was indecipherable, and he made no effort to help us understand the menu, which wouldn't have been as much of a problem if the dishes weren't exorbitantly priced. Although the food itself was decent, it wasn't nearly good enough to compensate for the overall negative atmosphere. It's disheartening to visit a place that could have showcased the best of its culture but instead chose to alienate us because we weren't fluent in the language. This was a sadly disappointing experience, and it’s a place I'd advise any non-Portuguese speakers to avoid. A sad, sad chapter in what could have been a delightful culinary adventure.

It’s impossible not to comment on the São Frutuoso Restaurant in Braga, Portugal. The environment is spectacular, especially for those who like antique shops. The structures are impeccably as old as they really are.More than 100 years old with raw wooden beams, walls from the last century, everything smells clean and fabulous cuisine. And what about the service? Better, Impossible. Very personalized with a hint of good humor and joy in everyone who serves us with great satisfaction. It's worth being served here.

Good food, good service, good quality of the product. The waiters are very nice and friendly, the cod with chestnuts is the best I have ever tried, incredible desserts, if you want to eat well and have good quality. I recommend it 100/100.
