I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but my opinion was not so positive. The service was excellent, they seated us quickly despite us being a large group. The two waiters who served us were very friendly and helpful. Excellent, fast and efficient service. The starters were very good and there was a lot of choice. I ate alheira with garlic bread from Montalegre and I highly recommend it. the prices are affordable and there is a French menu + drink + coffee for 13.50 euros, which I think is quite fair. However, the francesinha was quite disappointing. the sauce is not to my liking, it has nothing to do with the typical sauce from the Braga area. it was liquid and pale, with no great flavor behind the acidity of the beer and tomato sauce. we ordered the regular francesinha and the sauce was extremely spicy. Even though I like the francesinha spicy, I thought it was too intense for someone who didn't order it that way. When I asked for extra non-spicy sauce, it wasn't available because they only work with that one. Apart from that, the francesinha had a good and tasty steak, on point. fresh sausage, which I thought was positive. I ate it semi-cold with lemon and coconut and I liked it, sweet without being cloying and quite refreshing. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, mainly due to the service.

Very good Francesinha, almost on par with its more famous neighbor.Spicier and more acidic sauce, very good homemade potatoes (somewhat fatty), good steak.And a francesinha menu (with potatoes and drinks, including some international beers) for a good price (€13.5).Honestly, we went there because of the queue at the famous neighbor and... It didn't disappoint. It doesn't have the same atmosphere but it has quality too!
