The quality of the food and wine was simply outstanding. We tried some of the exiciting combinations such as beef with gorgonzola and raspberries which was a delight. We wouldn't hesistate in highly recommending this restaurant.

We happened upon this small restaurant while looking for a place to have dinner in Braganca. The focus of the posted menu on local produce was an enticement, and, happily, we were able to get the next to last table. There are only about 20 -22 places inside during the colder months. In warmer months there are more outside tables. My wife had a beautiful fish accompanied by local, seasonal vegetables, and I enjoyed venison with different accompanying vegetables and sinfully smooth, rich mashed potatoes with mushrooms. The waiter suggested classes of the house wine which was from the local region. The wines - different for each of us - were exceptionally good, especially at the price of 4.5 euros for a large glass.

We went to Bragança on a holiday and Alma Lusa was one of the few restaurants open. The place is small but very cozy and warm. The tables and chairs are very comfortable and the service is very good. The food is abundant and delicious, the menu is quite varied as is the dessert/dessert menu, you can tell that everything is homemade and they prepare everything on site. The attention and quality of the food is appreciated.100% recommended if you are in Bragança and don't know where to eat, Alma Lusa is the ideal place to spend a pleasant time.

Divine dishes, 5 stars. Original dishes with delicious flavor. We ordered the tuna loin with curry sauce and basmati rice and some delicious spicy pineapple cubes and then the shredded pork with BBQ and mashed potatoes. Attentive and flawless service. Came to town for some good lunch and to see the Castelo. This place has great feedback, so we decided to eat here. It was all full when we arrived, but after about 10-15mins a table got available outside where our Bulldog was welcome as well.Staff/owner were all great and friendly.And the food is some of the very best we've ever had in Portugal. Great Tapas and small plates, but with modern twists. High quality cuisine, brillant food.We ordered some croquetas, made from chorizo sausages. Wonderful, nice meat with lots of flavour. Then we've had Bacalhau stew with curry. An unlikely combination, but perfectly done. A real pleasant surprise. And then we've had the tuna Ceviche. Perfectly fresh, nice tuna of high quality. Lots of onions (love it) and with mango. Altogether a perfect combination of flavours. Best Ceviche we've ever had. And we also had the Tapa with beef steak. And that was the most tender cut of beef we've had on this trip. A couple of glasses of wine also. Some red, some white.It's really a perfect place to be and to eat. Enjoyed our lunch here very much. Next time in Portugal we will definitely be back in town, just to get some more great food here.

Very good choice. Letters in several languages and on paper. The service is very friendly and fast. The food, very good value for money. Generous portions, of everything I ordered, I highlight the tuna and mango ceviche, very very very tasty. Perhaps a little to improve for my taste, are the desserts, I thought that the value for money in that sense was not very good, but well the rest has been so so good that it does not deserve less than 5.
