“Best restaurant in Bragança and the surrounding area. We received a very friendly welcome and were even allowed to take our dog with us. On request, the chef prepared a vegetarian dish for us, which was delicious. If we come here again we will definitely eat there, and only there. Everything else, including the restaurant around the corner, where we also ate, was very disappointing and frankly miserable.

The food: good but fair in volume and flavor. The cod lacked a little flavor. The excessively salty ham omelette. Ordinary beef, without lights or stars. Furthermore, the owner of the estate (a sort of Portuguese Bertín Osborne) seemed to be more attentive to the young damsels than to the diner clientele. Anyway, good but worse than expected.“

“We happened upon this small restaurant while looking for a place to have dinner in Braganca. The focus of the posted menu on local produce was an enticement, and, happily, we were able to get the next to last table. There are only about 20 -22 places inside during the colder months. In warmer months there are more outside tables. My wife had a beautiful fish accompanied by local, seasonal vegetables, and I enjoyed venison with different accompanying vegetables and sinfully smooth, rich mashed potatoes with mushrooms. The waiter suggested classes of the house wine which was from the local region. The wines - different for each of us - were exceptionally good, especially at the price of 4.5 euros for a large glass.“
