It was really a wonderful evening with a fantastic meal. We enjoyed it and would like to come back. The service and the taste of the food were a highlight of our vacation. And the walk in the dark over the cliffs to our hotel was really fun...even though the hosts wanted to buy us a taxi. Thank you very much again for that. Vegetarian options: One vegetarian starter and one vegetarian main course that changes every day. The one we ate was of great quality, fresh ingredients and delicious taste.

We had dinner at Ancora this evening and were thrilled. From the start it was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The waiter gave us very nice advice and served us attentively. The drinks were refilled without being intrusive and without being asked and the wine advice was also excellent. The food tasted very good and was prepared to perfection. You didn't sit too close to other tables and the whole atmosphere with light, quiet music was very pleasant. The price is of course a little higher compared to a pizzeria or fast food restaurant, but it is definitely worth it. We can only recommend it and will definitely come back. An exceptional restaurant for such a small place like Burgau. It was just great, thanks to the family-run team.!!!!

I love this place. The food is always excellent but don't have a big lunch as portions here are really generous! I always try to go at least once a trip. Angelika is always friendly and informative about the menu that she has designed. Can highly recommend!

Honestly the most amazing night out. 20+ people recommended it to us so we booked - Cash Only but ATMs around every corner so no problems there. The food was amazing, the prawns were so fresh and sweet tasting and came in the most amazing sauce ( so good I had to ask for more bread to get the last bit ). The quality of food mirrored the quality of service - we even got a little chat with the owner who was so welcoming and informative of the area. The bar man helped me pick out a sweet white wine to complement my dishes. Would I go again? 10000% so much so we rebooked for a week later !! The following photos are my gorgeous prawns ( starter ), oxtail main and my boyfriends chicken sate main.

Back at our favourite restaurant in Burgau, we’ve been eating here for 30 years and always book it at least twice whenever we come to Burgau, food, atmosphere and service is always first class, the pate and prawns for starters are delicious and the lobster salad for mains was amazing as were the Oxtail and chicken, great portions too. Not the cheapest but quality comes at a price ! For red wine drinkers I can recommend the Vadio ?
