We went there at 21:15 more or less, when there were already lots of free seats. We had previously seen the menu and already knew what we wanted to try: the "Sopa Rica do Mar" ("Rich Sea Soup"). It should be noted that fish soup is a typical dish in Portugal, with different regions cooking it in slightly different fashions. It is invariably an apparently simple dish. However, this one fish soup, while looking simple, had really some original touch from the cook and owner of the restaurant, D.ª Rosa. The fish and seafood were notably good quality, certainly bought on that same day. At the bottom of the bowl, there were the mandatory pieces of delicious bread from Alentejo region. In summary, this was the best fish soup that we ever tasted, and the best dish that we have ever tasted at Zambujeira do Mar (we spend some time there every year). We had the chance to personally meet D.ª Rosa, who, besides being a remarkable cook, is a very charming and kind lady.

This is the best fish and seafood restaurant I've ever visited. We came to eat there four times in a row and were very sad we had to leave this village. We tasted their grilled fresh fish, Arroz de marisco, Rich fish soup and Gambas and all of these dishes were pure perfection that transported us to gastro heaven! The staff including the chef are all very kind and friendly, interested to please every single customer. You should definitely try this place and I guarantee you that you will keep coming back to eat here ☺️

We had a fantastic authentic experience dining at Sol Dourado, with Michelli, who made excellent recommendations about the best Portuguese specialties to try, and was able to accommodate everything we asked about. The grilled dourada was the best fish we've ever had! And she was able to find us a live crab the exact size that we were hoping for, and it was cooked to perfection! She even brought us a sample of percebes to try since it was our first time trying this cuisine! She was kind and patient with us and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was lovely and was such a nice place to end our day after hiking on the Rota Vicentina.

Excellent lunch here in Zambujeira. First visit to this restaurant and will probably not be our last. I had delicious Alentejo migas with 9 king prawns; husband had fish of pork with clams, king prawns and sautéed potatoes. Both dishes were excellent and pretty huge. We then shared a chocolate mousse. With a bottle of local Vicentino white wine, water, and coffee, the bill came to €70. We would definitely recommend and we will return.

We ate here our first night in Lisbon and ordered the fish plate for two for my daughter and I, and a chicken dish for my wife. The fish plate was very tasty, featured 4 to 5 different types of fish, and was more than we could eat. The chicken dish was also good. Service was very good and friendly. Would definitely recommend this restuarant.
I was there with a group. Quite obviously it is a family business. The owners were extraordinary nice and patient answering all our questions concerning the menu. The seafood was fresh and well prepared - we had a lovely evening. OBRIGADO! P.S.: Try their bread - it‘s delicious!

We had the most amazing dining experience at Sol Dourado in Lisbon. From the moment that Sandy (our server) introduced herself we felt welcomed. The seafood platter was not only delicious it was also an incredibly generous portion and excellent value. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Lisbon. Thank you Sandy for making it such a wonderful evening!!

Our last night in Lisbon, we chose Sol Dourado to have our final dinner. My husband had a meat dish and I had a fish dish. They were both absolutely superb! On top of the great atmosphere (we sat outside) and excellent food, the service was even better. Sandy was the sweetest, most helpful server we had during out entire trip. Her smile was contagious and we spent a lot of time laughing with her. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I know we will go back again when we visit!
