People come to the island primarily to climb Pico, or whale watch….. However; I would recommend people have dinner here before doing either of those things…

Really not worth a visit. Disappointed with food . Food was tepid and over salted all pretty mediocre and the skills just there.

Bijzondere plek temidden de al.even bijzondere wijngaarden. Heerlijk menu; kleinschalig met toelichting van de chef.

Nice expérience there but important to know that you are sharing the table with other People. We were 7 in total, which was great, but I wanted to offer an experience as a couple to my love.

Great wine, we really appreciate those.

Still very american way, with waiter asking us about our Day ... we were a little surprise of this familiarity.

Also, waiter usine a serving capsel or putting wine on the table while serving it, not worth the level exepected.

Do not go here to drink wine!! They will charge you for a glass, give you a small sip of wine and charge you 16 euros.

One of the BEST fine dining experiences I’ve had in my life. If you’re in Pico Island, you must make a dinner reservation + wine pairing here. Everything from the start to finish was phenomenal with local delicacies and ingredients. Every dish had significance to the island and the Azorean culture/people, which elevated the dining experience. The chef would personally introduce each dish and made sure of dietary restrictions at each point. Truly a memorable experience in Pico Island!

It‘s a gem. Rather spontanously we decided to book a table there. I don‘t know what we expected, but whatever it was, it was well exceeded. The Restaurant only offers a few seats at tables and a couple around the kitchen where you can watch and see live what the kitchen crew produces. We had the 6 coursw menu with 5 different wines, from which there were three whites, one red and one Dessert wine. You can Tell that there goes a lot of thinking and passion into the menu and the Selektion of the wines. You get an explanation with every course and every wine. The use of mainly local products from the Acores goes through the whole menu. The star(s) for me where the fish starter which was fish belly, sth I‘ve never had before and was executed to perfection. The fish course was tuna on a spinach creme + seaweed. I personally think that you won‘t find much better tuna than this.
If (and it‘s a tiny If) there is room for improvement, it’s the timing between courses and wines. It felt a bit rushed at times. If there was one wine that stuck with me, it was the Red (Proibida) with the meat. Left me a bit confused, because I didn‘t quite know where to put it. It worked nicely with the course, don‘t really see it as a standalone wine, might try anyway, it surprised me once, why not twice.

One of the best tasting menus of my life, at a reasonable price. Inventive ideas from the chef with nearly 100% local ingredients — you have to visit if you come to Pico!
