The owner of the hotel we stayed at recommended this restaurant and even walked us over to it and spoke to the staff so we would get a reservation that evening! Luckily we ate early as the place was packed in no time. Many locals including couples and families. I got the steak with garlic sauce garlic and my husband got the turkey steaks. Both came with rice and fries. We cleaned our plates! The bread worked well to sop up the garlic sauce! Definitely worth a return trip!

A nearby place. The food is homemade, but it was full and people were waiting outside. They don't take too long to serve and the service is good. Highly recommended

Occasionally go here for lunch or dinner when I'm in town, and will continue to do so. Always good food, especially love the French fries. The rear dining room is a bit claustrophobic with poor ventilation, and the decor is still original from the 1980s. (or 1970s?) It's like kitschy retro chique.

(Translated by Google) Restaurant with authentic Portuguese flavor. The menu is somewhat short but contains what can be expected from a family place like this: Portuguese stew, grilled sardines...I missed cod. Good price.(Original)Restaurante con sabor auténtico portugués. Carta algo corta pero conteniendo lo que se puede esperar de un sitio familiar como este: cocido portugués, sardinas asadas...Eché en falta bacalao. Buen precio.

We were lucky to hear of this nice restaurant from a local person. The food was the best we had in a long time, since we were getting so tired of what we call “tourist food” while in Spain. Seems like a family run place and the cooks are checking in with the senior lady for approval of things. Nice experience and great introduction to delicious Portuguese food. Cash only.

(Translated by Google) I gave the benefit of the doubt, having been there twice but I couldn't give a better rating. The first time around 7:30 pm they didn't have any bread to put on the tables, and with children it made things complicated. The dishes took over an hour to come out of the kitchen. My pork secrets were evidently some feces from the oldest and toughest pig that was in that kitchen. The 2nd time we arrived at the restaurant at 20:30 and none of the 3 fish dishes on the menu were available! So we ordered a bitoque because there wasn't much to go wrong but the steak was miserable for how small it was, served on a small clay plate with half a dozen fried potatoes, a fried egg and a tablespoon of rice. Very very weak. From the service to the delay of orders, to ending with the food.

(Translated by Google) Regular food. Homemade. Sympathy is not much. Super cooked. It is worth it. I went back 1 year later and it was really good. The owner and super cook. I gave one more star for the magnificent stew. I have to go back to try the baits and farofias.(Original)Comida normal. Caseira. A simpatia não é muita. Cozido super. Vale a pena. Voltei 1 ano depois e foi muito bom. A dona e cozinheira super. Dei mais uma estrela pelo magnífico cozido. Tenho de voltar para provar as iscas e as farófias.
