“It was a very interesting experience. We were passing through the city and a little hungry but we had to make some time. This place was perfect, because the food was great (we discovered the famous farinheira there, which is a sausage here in Portugal that we saw in many places but had never tried), the service was great, very kind and helpful, and the place has a charm. “I had the pleasure of visiting this place, on a couples’ date. As it was a large reservation, everything was well organized, with a Valentine's Day theme, fast and super attentive service, classic Portuguese starters. Next, the main course was two dishes, mixed meat, where everything was perfectly cooked and juicy, with a classic accompaniment, and then came the feijoada complete with a different accompaniment, very light in flavor, I highly recommend it, a taste of home.“

“Excellent food in a small village (Imaginário) near Caldas da Rainha.
It's not the cheapest but it's worth every euro.
The restaurant has a rustic look and, as background music, we have fados playing on the radio.
Very welcoming.
The rojoada is very good and the dessert, something I don't know exactly what, is strange at first and then it sinks in.“

The menu is European, with emphasis on Portuguese flavours and styles. Their sautéed mushroom and sweet potato with cheese has amazing flavours, the beef Portuguese style was superb, the asparagus risotto was delicious and huge!. Overall, this restaurant is hitting all the right buttons. The cost is incredibly reasonable..in Lisbon they could easily double their prices and no one would blink! “Great buffet restaurant. Lots of variety of typical Portuguese food and desserts. Good presentation, order and cleanliness. The waiters are attentive and helpful. On Sundays there are musical performances. It has a large parking lot. The entrance is suitable for wheelchairs. Fixed prices, both weekly and holidays. The quality-price ratio is very good. Coffee and drink are included.“

“We had seen this restaurant tucked away off a main street so we stopped in to see if they could seat us on a busy Sunday. We were in luck! We had bread and olives to start, followed by vegetable soup then a platter of the chicken steak with mushroom sauce accompanied by the usual fries and rice. Everything was well prepared and very good. The chicken even had a bit of “char” on it! No room for dessert! What we saw coming out the kitchen looked really good, too! Quite busy so reservations are a must! Definitely will return!“

“Firstly, it is worth highlighting that the place is divided into 2 environments: the cafe and the restaurant. The cafe is a simpler environment and the food is also simple. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very creative menu. Everything we tried was great: provolone breaded with guava paste, katso sando, meat tartare and shrimp risotto. We were 2 people and it was too much food. 3 dishes would be enough for us to leave FULL. We took the risotto home and had dinner the next day. THE RISOTO INCLUDES CORIANDER! So if you don't like it, order it without. The risotto was overcooked and the rice was very soft. But we ate it all anyway because the seasoning was very good. It would be the only point they could improve. Furthermore, the breaded provolone is DIVINE! The katso sando for those who like oriental flavors and pickles is also very good. The tartar was also very good. It was a great surprise to find this gem in the city. We left very happy. And the price is very good.“
