Adega Calhandriz (Adega Regional da Calhandriz)

I hadn't been to the regional winery for many years and I was very happy to be back there. The lady who served us was very friendly, the starters and food were wonderful and the house wine was drunk very well. The desserts were good and the price paid was nothing more than that. I recommend it for a family visit or with a group of friends.

I loved! Magnificent fried rabbit, but the cod pastries for starters were also delicious and excellent desserts!The service is very fast and attentive.A restaurant worth going to, but you should book!

Today lunch was in Calhandriz in the Municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, a land known for Coelho dishes. My visit was to the Adega Regional da Calhandriz Restaurant right in front of the Parish Council. Large, family-friendly restaurant where Coelho's dishes are a specialty. Starters included bread, olives, dry cheese and a cod pastry. Main course I chose the Rabbit with Rice in the Pan. Well prepared dish, quite tasty and in generous quantity. I accompanied it with homemade Red House Wine and finished with a Rice Pudding, homemade, tasty and consistent.The service is fast, attentive and the price is around €20 per person with everything. I liked!

The roasted cod, which gave life to this restaurant decades ago, has lost quality in terms of product and preparation.Today's was just at a lower average level.Noisy atmosphere, as it always was, with lots of customers.

What an incredible experience at Adega Regional do Calhandriz! With a fantastic menu, I tried the grilled cod and the fried rabbit, both delicious. Accompanied by an excellent house wine, we finished with an incredible almond dessert. The service was friendly, and the price was quite affordable.
