“Immaculately morning stop! As a bakery enthusiast they are always a first stop abroad and this one is the best of the best. High quality pastries, quick service. The nata was amazing and would be my top rec! Everything priced well. 2 nata, 1 croissant and 1 spinach pocket were only €5.“

“We stayed in the hostel down the street here, but even when we were no longer here we came back to this bakery for tasty pastries but also good sandwiches. We had some difficulty navigating the menu, but the staff helped us perfectly with this, definitely worth a stop for anyone in the area! You get value for your money here
For 6 euros we got 1 pastel de nata here, 1 sandwich with omelette and a sandwich with steak, cheese, tomato lettuce, really delicious!!“

“Great little bakery serving snacks sandwiches and cakes. Went there almost every day to get a coffee. Often had the Quejeda (a sweet cheese pastry) or a Pastel De Nata. Also had the Potato Bread roll. With Han and cheese. This was delicious and astonishingly cheap. All table service if that’s what you want although if you want to select a cake you may be at the counter pointing and asking what is what. Always busy but plenty of seating. All freshly baked. Love it.“
“We came here for coffee and a piece of cake in the late afternoon. That was really great. The cake pieces are large and very tasty. The coffee was also great. We were particularly surprised by the low price. The decision was really difficult when it came to choosing.“
“Quality tasty bread most of the day freshly baked bread still hot... I recommend the hot paposecos, the large potato bread, the coconut donuts, the Berlin balls and malassadas, so many good things! And the kindness of the bosses! An added value in the São Roque area! Open until eight on “
“Very tasty German bakery - located in the middle of Funchal ? in a shopping center that has definitely seen better days, but Bruno is great. Unfortunately we haven't made it to pretzels yet, they're always available "tomorrow" ??Absolute recommendation - 5 stars if we get pretzels ??“
“Great variety. Across road from metro Staff were attentive & went out of their way to assist in English Can be flexible wth menu selection. Very reasonably priced & the meal ( scrambled eggs) was really good quality. Lots of room, but it does get busy in morning peak hours wth people on their way to work. Lots of locals & travellers alike.“

“(Translated by Google) It is a place where they have a wide variety of bread and sweet products that makes it difficult to choose. “A very nice and absolutely authentic café-confectionery.
The cappuccino and the good pastries are absolutely recommended.
The service is super nice ;)
There are always a lot of locals here - that speaks for itself ;)“
“This place has been recommended from someone who lives on Madeira. This has been the best bakery on the island. Quality and price wise: we had 2 drinks (coffee and fresh orange juice) and 3 pieces to eat and paid only 9,30 euro. The bakery pieces were fresh and still warm. Absolutely delicious: taste perfect, consistency perfect.“

“Great little café and cake shop with nice outdoor area. Tasty breakfast with wonderful fresh orange juice. The cheesecake is delicious ?. Friendly laid back no frills service. Definitely recommend, watch out for the lizards that collect the crumbs:)“
“We stopped for coffee & cake as we had walked past on a previous day & the cakes looked scrumptious. They tasted as good as they looked & the coffees were great. My daughter said the lemon meringue tart was as good as her own with lovely marshmallowy meringue.“
“Pastelaria K is located on a side street of Rua Levada do Cavalo, on a road that has no exit, but it is possible to easily reverse course. It belongs to the parish of São Pedro, municipality of Funchal, the main municipality of Madeira Island. It is easy and free to park nearby. Here you can have a good coffee or an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. It has a pleasant and spacious terrace. The bakery is of good quality and the service is friendly and cordial. A little pricey, but good value for money. Space hygiene is another positive factor of this pleasant space.“
“We found this place close to the Castelo Sao Jorge and it was good to pop in for snacks and drinks after walking around the castle in the heat of the day. We could see them making various pastries. We loved the natas which were amongst the best we ate in Portugal. We also had some croissants which were equally good.“

“Viana pastry shop is already a reference for us and can satisfy our desire for sweet and savory treats. It also offers one of the best francesinhas in Madeira that goes very well with the craft beer that was born in Braga but bears the name of the house. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is attentive and friendly. I recommend a visit.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Frenchie“
“The more places we visit in Funchal the more "new" places we find. Never noticed this pastry shop come café before. Lovely typical interior. Only popped in for a quick beer on a warm lunchtime. Tima on a large bottle, Madge on the smaller Coral. Good value establishment. Took me a while to notice stairs down to the toilets. Well worth a visit to this friendly business.“

“We really liked the food and drinks here. Nice modern vibe to it in a busy location lots of snacks and pastries to choose from. Only improvement could have been the waiting on staff who could do with a bit of direction and training from a leader. Very nice otherwise worth visiting“

“If you like tourist areas this is fine, if you don't, I wouldn't advise going out of your way to visit this or any other place in Funchal. If you are knocking about the area then this is a quieter side with outdoor seating, friendly staff (seemed under pressure though)Food was nice, order didn't come exactly as asked but that had more to do with me and my accent not being clear enough - need to remember when traveling that the people you are speaking too may not have English as their first language.“
