After hopping off the hop on-off bus, we decided to have a ramble down to the Câmara de Lobos beach area and fancied some refreshments. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Very friendly, welcoming staff but sadly there was a bit of a language barrier. Incredibly tasty and creative food, has its own vegetarian section of the menu with 3 options. The first is ask the waiter for todays special, second a quiche and third a vegan burger. I decided on the ricotta and spinach tortellini, which came with a side salad. One vegetarian tapas option is available, the stuffed peppers. I highly recommend trying this place out as a vegetarian, but for vegans the food is limited to the burger. Decent price at €13 for the tortellini.

Best poncha far and wide... But please take the fresh fisherman's poncha... €3.50 is relatively expensive but simply good...

Probably the worst meal I've ever eaten, we ordered the cod with fries (fish n chips) on the menu it shows fried but when we got it was like they just cut the fish skin on on threw it in the oven or microwave, extremely salty smelly and taste weird, they do not like being confronted. A tourist trap only accepts cash, probably from to many people reversing the charges. BEWARE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The Hamburger was OK, but not really tasty. Without any sauce unfortunately. There are ketchup on the table. My hamburger was without onions, but with a apple slice. The fries are also OK. The stuffed peppers and the mushroom risotto vegetarian, that can make vegan.

Please avoid, they tried to over charge me for 2 large beers by an extra 6 euros. Very rude and argumentative waiting staff.Other nicer establishments aroung this lovely bay.

Had the Scampi on avocado! Too much cocktail sauce for my taste, so you could‘nt enjoy the fruit itself. One scampi was black and probably not good anymore…

The girl in front of the restaurant is not smiling. The young waitress is very nice. We had 2 coffees, which were ok. As I had ordered a club sandwich which took a long time to arrive, I finally took it to go. IT WAS REALLY GOOD ?. The fries, just ok.Happy Holidays.

Great restaurant in an atmospheric town, very good food at an affordable price. We drank the traditional ponche. We ordered tomato soup, tuna with ingredients and broadsword with banana in passion fruit sauce. All dishes were super tasty! In fact, the best food we ate on the island. Very nice service. I

9/11/2024My girlfriend and I ordered soup and garlic bread, and fish for the main course. The soup was ready after 5 minutes. And the second course after about 3 p.m. Everything was really delicious. For 2x ponchos, soup with garlic bread and two fish €44. I don't know about the season, but at the beginning of November very efficient service and delicious dishes.

I rarely have the need or desire to write a particularly bad review, but after my experience at this cafe, I'd like to share it.I ordered the sardine bruschetta (€10) and was really looking forward to it, that was until it arrived! The plate comprised a slice of bread cut into 3 pieces, barely toasted (floppy/soggy), with whole sardines on top (likely out of a tin); and then smothered in copious amounts of prawn cocktail sauce, and not a chopped tomato to be seen!!! "This is how we make it here" was the curt response when I politely complained to the young girl waitress after I demonstrated a common theme having Googled the menu description. What must've been the owner was then very rude when I suggested adjusting the bill! After some fruitless discussion, she said, "Your bill is paid. Have a good day."To conclude this poor customer management experience, I paid for the drinks and my partner's toasted sandwich, made ironically with the same sliced bread!

I went there early morning because there was a girl outside saying "come inside and have breakfast". I asked for a latte and a toast. Got the latte straight away but after 20min the toast was nowhere to be seen. I complained and they told me the kitchen was still closed so it would take 5min more. It was a waste of time and money. Super expensive and bad service!

They have a small vegetarian menu, with one vegan burger. My sister and I had the quiche, which was served with a big salad. Quite nice food, nothing special, but filling for sure. It feels a bit like a tourist trap, but the atmosphere is fine.
