Restaurante Vila Da Carne

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local person from Camara do Lobos, and we understand why. Modern restaurant, with good views, very attentive, friendly and professional staff.

I am not one to eat meat in my daily life, but I read that on the Island one of the typical dishes is “espetada”. This restaurant is one of the best known in town; We have tried the regional espetada and what a delight, the meat is just right, tender, we have accompanied it with a salad of tomato, cucumber, fresh cheese and French fries.

The restaurant is part of a group, the other is 20m away and is called Vila do Peixe which appears in the Michelin guide.

Without a doubt we recommend it 100%.

Restaurant specialized in meats, with a very pleasant atmosphere and wonderful views of the sea.

The service is very good and they make sure everything is fine.

The meat is simply spectacular; We ordered the traditional espetada and the cow one, and the latter is definitely worth repeating.

They have another restaurant specializing in fish right next door, and both have free underground parking

I ate there with my family because we found it on the way.
The restaurant is incredible, it is located overlooking the sea and all its tables have good views.
The waiters are very nice and attentive and the food is a 10. We tried the espetada and it was incredible.
100% recommendable

Parking: There are places to park in front of the restaurant but if there is no space, they have their own free parking.

We sat really nice on the open roof top area and skipped our starter. The restaurant was nicely decorated.

Unfortunately, one beef skewer had 3 out of 7 pieces with a lot of fat. The waiters emptied our bottles once the glasses were half full, this service was new for us.

During dinner, no waiter asked anything. After finishing the main dish, the waitress gave us the dessert menu. This was not done properly because the waitress began with the man (instead of the woman) and just said impolitely "Hello?!" while putting the menu 15 cm away from his head.

We didn't like the service at all. The traditional salad (small) and French fries (large) were really tasty. Therefore, 2 stars for food. We will not come back again.

Nous voulions manger un bon morceau de viande dans un cadre tranquille. Malheureusement le personnel était très peu agréable, la viande était “passable”. Très déçue, malgré le cadre avec terrasse qui peut être très très bien exploité. Malheureusement assez “attrape-touristes” 60€ à deux mal dépensés.

This is a nice spot for English speaking tourists. It has staff that is used to us expat types. For the price and the view it is 5 star. Not Michelin stars, but bang for the buck stars. I had hot rock filet and my wife had the filet on a stick Brazilian style. Our bottle of red from the Douro region was 23 ?.

Really tasty dishes served promptly by a polite waiter. The meat was tender and the flavours were wonderful. The ribs were crispy on the outside and tender on the insite while the rib eye was absolutely delicious. The view is also very nice.

Beautiful place to eat. At lunchtime and in the evening. Service was good, ambience too. Unfortunately our meat was a bit hard and dry.
