“Without a doubt the best cabidela I've ever eaten... And I've eaten many because it's one of my favorite dishes. Tasty, well seasoned with a touch of vinegar and in a generous dose.
It should be noted that the entrance to the house, which also has excellent products, is €4 per person and not simply €4 as it appears on the menu. Small and friendly place. It is advisable to reserve“
“(Translated by Google) The exquisite snails. Great variety of Toasts and Baguette, all very tasty. Nice staff. We will repeat for sure.(Original)Los caracoles exquisitos. Gran variedad de Tostas y Baguette, todo muy rico. El personal agradable. Repetiremos seguro.“

“It was 20 years ago that I entered this magnificent restaurant together with my comrades from the E.Naval Navy. I have remained faithful for 20 years. For 20 years, its owner Joaquim Chouriço has maintained rigor, professionalism, friendliness and originality. Congratulations friend Joaquim. I repeat my last words. May God have you for a long time and may he preserve the magnificent staff who work with you. Next Sunday, God willing, I will be there. A big hug.“

“We stayed upstairs at the Pension Praca De Figueira so this restaurant was very convenient. Good red wine was 1.40 Euros a glass and plate of black olives in olive oil and garlic was 50 cents. Their spaghetti bolognese was half the price of the Italian over the road and twice as good. Same goes for the pizzas. Don't expect the Ivy! It is basic and has a steady flow of interesting characters but we ate there 3 of our 4 nights stay and if I went to Lisbon again I would eat there.“

“What a wonderful place, in everything... we found it by chance, on the first day I left there super full, because I didn't calculate how well they served. Well, it's very good, what good food, what competent, fast and friendly staff. We felt at home, we came back on the 2nd day and we will come back when we return to Campo Maior one day for sure!“

“The owner is charming.
He speaks Spanish well.
We loved it because he is friendly and good at conversation.
What it has to do with being from a Spanish mother to a Portuguese father.
Thank you Luis for your welcome.“

“We popped in the door for wine and bingo. We found a charming place, where we were treated very kindly, and we tried a Verdejo from the Estremoz area that tasted great. The site is an old horse stable, converted into a tavern, with remains of an ancient wall and original arched columns. We haven't ordered food, so we'll have to come back to see it.“

“A lovely find, looked closed but so we tried it
The staff were welcoming and very helpful. We had the Piranha for 2 people, came with chips, rice, black beans and fried banana. The meat is sliced at the table, taken back to the grill and sliced again. Perfect.
There were a mix a locals and tourists giving the restaurant a good vibe.“

“We went to eat and we have a medium-sized dog, they let us go inside, which is a nice detail since it was full.
As for the food, everything was very good, but the clams....spectacular.
To put a but, too much noise.“
“We had a great meal in here a few nights ago, nothing outstanding but nothing wrong. We've eaten many meals in the Alentejo region over the years and this one didn't disappoint. For a kick off, great wine, as you would expect from an outstanding wine region. Bread, local cheese and olives served, all good. Main courses. Pork with clams and Migas with pork, Migas one of the best I've tasted. Pudding, homemade creme caramel, delicious. Would definitely return.“

“I was reluctant to have lunch here due to the negative reviews I read. I can confirm that the service is a little better than "poor" from the two female staff. The manager (I believe it was) is extremely professional and was what "saved" us. Be it the service, the table setting and the friendliness. Our order was served quickly contrary to what I read in many reviews. The fact that it is a weekday and practically empty may influence the analysis. Excellent quality/price for the meal (the best I found in Alentejo this holiday). I believe that with more attention and criteria in the professionals you hire in the future, your overall evaluation can only go up. I recommend it because I would definitely have lunch here again!“

“Very tasty and good price.Super friendly, approachable and dynamic staff. My daughter left her suitcase with the medication she takes. The staff kept it and told us that we could pick it up at that very moment because they were still having dinner, which allowed us to retrieve the vital medication in a timely manner.Friendly, attentive. Thanks“
“Homemade food, without complications and rich. Menu at a good price. There are 3 of us and we have eaten 2 gazpachos, 1 soup, a gilthead bream, battered chicken, sirloin steak, 2 desserts and 1 bottle of water (+ bread and butter that they provide and charge for here in Portugal). All €33.“

“A small cafe but despite your physical limitations (due to your age), it served us very well and with unusual friendliness, I must say that I went there just to have a snack and the snails were delicious, up there a few meters away, there yes it is a restaurant“

“I liked the food and would return to this establishment. I think it's worth the value for money. I ordered the steak with house sauce, although it was noticeable that the sauce was defrosted and heated, the flavor was still wonderful.
The only bad point about the restaurant: they only receive cash.“

“Good restaurant, not bad...
The dishes are abundant and good... (In the photos I post they have much less quantity since I didn't have time to make them).
The restaurant is next to the road, easy to park and with very good service, very cordial, friendly and attentive...
Large rooms, several TVs to watch sports and attend in groups, it is comfortable...
Parking: Parking at the foot of the restaurant...
Kid-friendliness: No problem if you eat inside, if you eat outside since it is close to the road.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, no problem, to access the bathroom a couple of steps, without major difficulty.“

“"O Grémio Bar" located in Praça da República in Elvas, a place where the price-quality is excellent with the right to watch the various shows that were held there very often and with an underground municipal parking lot. Owner (Toi) very friendly and attentive with employees who do everything to satisfy customers. The excellent cook. In addition to a very good plate of ham, we had a veal steak with mushrooms and roast cod which were very, very good. I will be back and recommend.“

“Although they are only open from Monday to Friday, it is one of the best places to enjoy the Portuguese cuisine of Alentejo that you will find in the border area and close to the Spanish town of Badajoz.
It is a family business that translates into a high-quality gastronomic offer, with homemade food made with great love.
Without a doubt, super recommended!“
