Very good overall. Friendliness from the restaurant owner who, as there was no ATM and seeing me confused, made his granddaughter's mbway available. The food is excellent with excellent seasoningThe tomato rice with naughty beans is delicious. The best is at the end €6.5 bread jug wine food platter and coffee.

A nice find a bit further from the more common tourist areas of Porto. We had the mushroom/beets toast and the salmon/avocado toast. Both delicious. Highly recommended for lunch and their breakfast choices look great too.

Ah! Cafe Negra is not just another coffee shop in a city filled with them. It is a welcoming eatery noted for its layering of offerings on toast or pancake or bread amidst an atmosphere of culture. Books and encylopedias adorn shelves with audio and media devices from lore , all of which still work I was assured by Margarida, the gracious propriator,. She oversees this two-tiered eatery ensuring the quality of its vittles and with a friendly service. English is common here but I suspect all staff are conversant in other languages. Oh, and the sound tracks are great too.

I asked to a toast with chicken and egg. The menu says that the egg is a boiled egg, when I asked if they could change the boiled egg for a poached egg, they said that is forbidden to change the ingredients. For my point of view this is an outrageous attitude that have an only result, this was my first and the last time that I entered in they restaurants.

Nestled in a cozy corner, the café welcomed me with its inviting atmosphere. The portions exceeded expectations, leaving me satisfied and content. The captivating decor, with its intricate details, added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. The coffee, undoubtedly the highlight, was a delightful blend of flavors that awakened my taste buds. What truly stood out, however, was the staff's warm and attentive demeanor, turning a simple visit into a memorable interaction.

Absolutely gorgeous place for brunch. Super lovely staff and amazing health and delicious food. The decor is beautiful and a great place for the morning/afternoon the day after a party night out.

The food is not bad and the price is fair... but the service is so rude and weak... always with bad faces and when I paid they took the money and didn't even say thank you... but it's okay if there isn't any nothing more...

Negra Café Baixa in Porto left us with mixed feelings after our breakfast experience. Initially, we were thrilled as the cafe looked adorable from the outside, which made us eager to try it out. Upon ordering, my wife opted for eggs on toast, while I chose the eggs Florentine. We both enjoyed our coffees, finding them quite satisfying. However, my excitement turned to disappointment when I discovered something inside my eggs Florentine that resembled a hair. I promptly alerted the servers, who were quick to apologize and took the dish away without charging me. They explained that it might have been a burnt edge from a previous egg cooked in the same pan. Although it was resolved amicably, the incident did put me off. On a brighter note, my wife's breakfast was enjoyable, and she had no complaints. The interior of Negra Café Baixa is undeniably charming, providing a pleasant atmosphere for customers. The prices were reasonable, which was a positive aspect, and the staff demonstrated genuine friendliness and understanding despite the unfortunate incident. While the experience had its ups and downs, Negra Café Baixa has the potential to be a lovely spot for breakfast. If you visit, I hope your experience is entirely positive, as my wife and I did appreciate the overall ambiance and the sincere efforts of the staff to make amends.

Negra Café is a cozy city gem with movie poster decorations. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant, the menu has a variety of options, the food is well-prepared and the staff is friendly and attentive. The only drawback is that the coffee, served in a small cup, could be more affordable. Nonetheless, Negra is a must-visit spot. P.S. While waiting for our order, my friend and I had a blast solving the Sudoku puzzle printed on the menu. It was a fun and clever addition that kept us entertained.
