“Everyone must try or repeat Bifão.
Don't be shy.
It is a gastronomic wonder.
My 16-year-old son ate one dose, the remaining 4 of us ate another (but he is growing).
Another delight is the homemade chocolate mousse ?.
We've already eaten other things on the list but after a year this is the dish of choice.
We didn't order starters and afterwards there wasn't even time to take photos.
Parking: I always advise you to go early and if there are groups, share the vehicle.“

“Wine cellar with traditional cuisine. Octopus roasted in a wood oven with tentacles per person of generous size. Excellent sweet white green wine with a fruity flavor.
Nice orange and chocolate cake.
The price of the octopus is in line with the quality, however the dose for two people should not be the price of one times two, which makes the final bill a bit heavy. The prices for starters and other delicacies are balanced.
It is perhaps advisable to try it, starting with the house specialties, which are steak or cod.“

“I thoroughly enjoyed my octopus! It was a giant tentacle and everything that came with complimented it nicely. It was tender and flavorful.
The pork neck was nice and came with such big sides we couldn't finish.
The waiters were attentive and lovely.

“This is a local restaurant.
The location is quite remote.
I had fried octopus and sardines.
The fried sardines are really seasoned just right, and they're just rice thieves.
Overall, it is a good restaurant with good taste and reasonable price.“

“I had the pleasure of tasting the grilled squid at Migalhas Restaurant and I must say that it was an exceptional gastronomic experience. The calamari was perfectly cooked, soft and flavorful, accompanied by tender potatoes and fresh vegetables. A true delight for seafood lovers! The typical dishes of the area are well represented there, with delicious Cacheno meat not missing.Desserts are also based on local sweets, including my favorite honey cake.It has a small terrace to serve meals when the weather permits. It has an ATM and parking is not complicated.

“One of the best places to eat traditional and with the flavors that characterize our country!
From lamb to steaks, from starters to the occasional toast to eat and cry for more and with owners who haven't been in business for 2 days
A house of tradition and respect, with a mandatory stop for those who enjoy excellent gastronomic experiences“

“Cozy place, funny and friendly staff, good and homemade food, good starters and the veal was also good, lots of dessert, great sangria! A special note for the waiter Sale, very helpful and funny, a Pakistani who shows many Portuguese people how to serve the table, the manager was also super attentive, he went to get a high quality Portuguese limoncello which made the already pleasant dinner super fantastic! After
Hearing so much I went and we liked it, I recommend it! Good experience (very good decoration)“

“First day in Porto and immediately an unforgettable dining experience at Pátio 44. The staff was very kind and the service was quick. The presentation of the dishes was taken care of down to the smallest details. We followed the staff's advice and tried an appetizer each and a main course. The menu, as I understand it, varies depending on the seasonality of the products. Trust their taste: the chefs really know what they're doing! Each dish was balanced, fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend it to everyone.“

“It's a secret;-) Mr. Carlos is a restoration genius and, now with Mane, his daughter, they make a wonderful duo.
Veal rice, hake rice with shrimp and coriander, black pork secretions or chicken muamba... you name it. There is no chance of failure.
As for desserts, I would say: chocolate mousse cake or sericaia...among many others.
Visiting regularly ;-)
PS: the prices are more than adequate: €15/person and have a party“

“Good food!
The dishes were well prepared. I saw a comment on the sirloin. Yes, it was medium-rare cooked, which may not be good for someone but it’s excellent for me.
The white bean, tripe with rice is highly recommended.“

“I ate one of the best tripe I can remember here. Too good for my taste. The space is very small. As there is a lot of food out, you can. Waiting a long time for the food. The order, the staff's attention to the tables, in my opinion failed, I waited more than 8 minutes for the waitress at the counter to look at the customers. I had tipped €5 the day before and I felt like I didn't deserve it.On the other hand, I ordered a portion of Grilled Nacos for 3 and when I saw the bill it said 1+1/2, we only ate half. Excessive food is one of the main factors in my negative evaluation of a restaurant. 2 days 2 strange errors, I was thinking about them. Check the account. It is a restaurant worth trying and discovering, as many people will like it.“
“A very nice and quaint family restaurant tucked away on a quiet street. The ambiance is warm and intimate. I had the beef steak with potatoes and vegetables in onion sauce, followed by a slice of the lemon pie and tarta whiskey. The steak was very tender and moist, and I was able to slice it with little effort. It just melts in your mouth with little chewing. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, with the side of cabbage being cold and delicious as a compliment. I'm a big fan of lemon desserts, but the tarta whiskey was the definite winner in this selection with it being cold, like a slice of ice cream cake. The lemon pie was perfect with just the right amount of zest without being too much or overpowering. I chased down my meal with a smooth Super Brock beer.“

“One of the best, if not the best francesinha I've eaten to date. I live so close to this place and had never been here, despite seeing the queues outside the door that announced something good.
The steak is juicy, the meat is good and quality, the cheese is sensational.
The sauce is spicy and the potatoes are very good.
The Fino comes out at the ideal temperature and gas, reminiscent of the Fino from Galicia.
The service is friendly and very competent, guided by discretion and simplicity.
Positive note for the cloth napkins, almost unheard of in restaurants of this type.
Definitely repeating.“
“We ordered about five dishes plus olives. They were all absolutely delicious and the taste sensations really diverse. We were also very full at the end. The service was excellent - helpful and friendly. We're staying nearby. I suspect we will have another meal there before we leave.“

“We went on the recommendation of a guide for a tour in Porto. We didn't have to wait.
We ate two types of cod, and they were delicious. The presentation was also good. For dessert we had burnt milk cream, pretty good too.
The food was good in general, and the service was correct.
The beers seemed very expensive to me. Super Bock, €4.10 each.
I asked the waiter if it was a mistake, and he confirmed that that was the price.
What I didn't like is that they didn't give me an invoice, just a handwritten note. In the rest of the places we were in these days in Porto they always gave us the invoice without having to ask for it.“

“First time in this wonderful house, excellent atmosphere, very welcoming and 5* staff, super helpful, friendly and very attentive.
For starters, some tasty and seasoned black olives.
We ate the “Bife à Bernardino”, a recommendation from one of the staff, a very well prepared dish, 1/2 is enough for a couple. (€15.75)
To finish in the best possible way, there is nothing better than a fresh, homemade and super tasty dessert, in this case, some “cream from heaven” (€2.60)
As I highlighted above, it was the first time but it won't be the last.
10/10“

“I was there last week to visit the restaurant, I was amazed at the service
Meet the restaurant chef!
The food is spectacular!
(I will leave a small observation
The only thing missing is justice in the dishes
Increase the size of the prawns to be more visible on the plate, and the sirloin steak should be a little thicker)“

“We were in Porto for 3 days and we went here for lunch/dinner every day. We tried 2 other restaurants in the city center and came to conclusion that Sai Cao is unbeatable. The food here is so delicious and very cheap. We could not find anywhere in Porto having the generous portion and high quality dishes like Sai Cao. We tried all dishes of the day and they are all delicious.
We felt so lucky that we found this restaurant. The staff are so nice and they can speak English quite well. We did not have any difficulty choosing what to eat thanks to the staff (the menu is in Portuguese).
If you want an authentic Portuguese restaurant and local experience, I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I ate a small plate of tripe. I thought the amount of rice was ridiculous. It's a dish that I usually eat and in this particular case I think it was very poorly served in relation to the market.
However, overall the restaurant is above average.
The other 2 dishes were reasonable.
It has a nice room for groups, although a little stuffy.“

The baked cod with its boiled potato, hard-boiled egg, raw onion and the typical small bitter olives and plenty of oil, perfect and delicious. “Rafa is an absolute gem - he curates these tastings with so much passion and attention to detail that you'll be walking away with a newfound appreciation for wine (even IF you already very much appreciated wine before). He does an incredible job fostering a vibe that is both intimate and educational yet still very much unintimidating; by the end of the tasting, it feels like you're enjoying great wine/cheese with old friends at a small dinner party. If you're lucky enough to have an opportunity to snag some time with Rafa, don't even think twice and just book it! It'll be the highlight of your trip.
