“We were advised at A Traineira (Caniço de Baixo) and we are completely satisfied.
The bolo do caco at the beginning fresh from the wood-fired oven together with our traditional Poncha was divine. Then the picanha accompanied by 2 risottos (onion, beans and chorizo) was the highlight. We ordered it rare to our liking and it arrived that way. Then, at the end, the mousse clearly made in-house with hazelnuts on top was perfect, not to mention the always attentive service. I highly recommend it!“

“This was the perfect place to be for a holiday! We went there for lunch and dinner. The portions are huge and it really feels as if a Portuguese grandma has cooked the food with love. “Delicious food for good price. Nice waiter, we found out that he doesn’t like coral beer :D he jokes that they make if from river water because the brewery is near the river. In the restaurant have portuguese beer which is fuller and bitter than coral. It depends on everyone’s tastes but we liked it very much. Madeiran Espada with banana and passion fruit was especially delicious.

“This place is great. The preco is the best preco according to my husband. He got the house preco. It comes with fries and a drink. My daughter enjoyed her cheeseburger that also came with fries and a drink. She got the fresh orange juice (it did cost extra). The bolo do coca is really good here.

They serve our favorite Bohemia beer, which is absolutely delicious—we highly recommend it!
