We've visited La Carbonara three times during our visit of Madeira because this is a great restaurant with good food. The atmosphere is great, staff is quick and friendly. All adults get the local drink poncha as a appetizer and you can get some fresh pepper with whatever you order.

The food is very tasty and you can be sure that you will be full given the size of the portion. For us, the restaurant became our favorite during our 10-day stay. There is also a good selection there, especially for vegetarians. This is rather difficult with the other restaurants here.
Also fair prices!
Vegetarian options: Good selection and very tasty
Parking: There is a parking lot for the restaurant opposite the restaurant
Kid-friendliness: Very good.

Good pizzeria with American style pizzas. Portions very large, medium size pizza sufficient even for good eaters. Selection of pizzas creative and extensive, other dishes (especially fish) not recommended here.
Service mediocre, one of four dishes was forgotten and then served cold.

We ate pasta, which tasted great, even though there were a lot of dishes on the menu. The service is a bit intrusive as you can tell they want to generate quick sales. More shifts of guests bring more money. This is probably also because it is located on the edge of a hotel zone.

There are many cozy restaurants, but unfortunately it is too big and noisy. The pizza has plenty of toppings but unfortunately I didn't like it.

Bad food and service!
We were my son and me there a few days ago, ordered pasta with seafood and a small pizza. Pasta was full of sand because of seafood were not properly washed. Pizza was not eatable at all, my son left it almost completely untouched. The wine is ok. To my complaint the waiter said that "sand" in pasta is exactly the point of the restaurant .....as well as that way of pizza cooking.

Tasty pizza, but served without toppings that I haven't seen on the tables. If the restaurant follows the Italian model, they should add olive oil and vinegar to the pizza. The size of the pizza won't surprise you, so if you're not overly hungry, go for a medium size. Nice service, clean.

It's almost perfect to eat a variety of food, made to order, but the only problem is the roof covering the street, which is insufficient to protect customers from the rain and sun.

Great pizza and for me one of the best I've ever eaten
In Berlin you would pay twice as much for pizza
But it's a little greasy for those who can't tolerate it

Pizza from the "fresh" menu, both very tasty and filling!
The lady was kind, we took the food to go.
Parking: Parking for 3 cars. There are more places in the street next door

Good food and very friendly service. The small pizza is enough, the medium one is difficult to fit in completely... ?

Food was ok, had pizza, of course not like in Italy, but quite acceptable.
Dessert is also good.
The staff is very friendly, except for one waitress, who seemed like she would like to be somewhere else. Maybe it wasn't her day??♀️
