My fiancee and I stayed in Machico for one week at the end of October 2019 and used this local bakery/café on 4 occasions for either lunch or coffee and cake. What a brilliant find! A lovely, clean cafe with friendly staff, some of whom spoke quite good English, serving local food, all of which is made on the premises. The food and drinks were all excellent. The service was excellent. The experience of sitting in a cafe mainly used by locals was excellent. And the prices........
